how are you. even i was not active in wiki for long time. anywayz right now i am trying to collect info on Order of battles of previous Indian conflicts, i began with the latest one, kargil but facing lot of difficulties with command structure and names of commanding officers in IAF.--Ajay ijn (talk) 12:56, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
About map, its not that important to have differnt colors for different commands, but there should be difference between permanent airbases and forward support units. BTW how do you create maps, Is there any software or something?--Ajay ijn (talk) 11:23, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks
thanks for the help on the ADA Tejas image. I knew that there was an aspect of RIA that allowed us to upload to Wikipedia 1) beacuse RIA states that and 2) because Wikipedia is not commercial. I did have a question there is not much info on FFGA>PAK FA and do you anything about the Shaurya Missile and its so called INvulnerability. Thanks for the help and I think it would be a long wait for a reply from CIC. u know how buereaucracy isEnthusiast10 (talk) 16:53, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Agni missile
Request removal of missile from the missile name. Except Agni missile, there is no other meaning for Agni-I, Agni-II, Agni-III or Agni-V. So requesting changing back the title to their original title. It's easy to add links with such simplified names like Agni-V. Thank you.Chanakyathegreat (talk) 12:56, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I just had some questions regarding Indian Military
I read that the Admiral Gorshkov was fitted with the P-500 Bazalt cruise missiles. Will the INS Vikramaditya incorporate these too?
If and when would the Ashvin or Ashwin missile be tested
INS Rajput, INS Tabar, INS Trishul, INS Ranvijay and most recently the INS Shivalik and INS Ranvir were armed with the BrahMos. What are the other ships that'll be added. I did some research it said that Godavari Class, Kolkata Class, Delhi Class and the rest of the Shivalik, Talwar and Rajput Classes will be armed too. Some estimate it by 2010? Am I correct?
Thanks for all the answers. The ashvin is really interesting, I was in France some days ago and talking with some officials there and they were quite informed about the ashvin. They thought we had transferred the Asvin to the Iranian(I seriously doubt that) as the Iranian SRBM and MRBM had an Indian footprint. They think the Iranians needed a solid fuel missile of good quality. The west still cant believe that Iran can develop that indigenously or it probably received the Scuds, from Russia. Seriously doubt if India would communicate with a country that is not like by Uncle Sam.
I'm sure you must be knowing the the verticle launch of BrahMos took place. Grt.. feat for India.
there is this link - http://www.frontlineonnet.com/stories/20090102252609400.htm . It says that Dhanush is a 1500km range missile or is that because it doesn't have a nuclear warhead when this interceptor test takes place. I saw your response to the Livefist blog and how he had said that Dhanush was a failure. The government claims it is 250Km but you said it was 500km and now this reports that it is 1500Km.? What range is it? I wanted to add some info to the India and Nukes article. The Government always underestimates if missiles and always dubs them as having a lower range then possible. Take the Agni for example, easily it is a 4500Km missile but government says its maximum range is 3500Km.
Thanks for the message, I understand your point and I have had another look at Template:Infobox Aircraft Type which says The person or persons who designed the aircraft. So apology I suspect persons could be another company. I think the guidance was to stop a long list of names. Happy for you to add ADA back but if you need further clarity then I would suggest that you bring it up at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aircraft where all the aircraft editors hang out. Hi, Thanks for all the help, was searching for something when I came across this http://www.expressindia.com/latest-news/Nuclearcapable-Akash-missile-test-fired/249959/. Says the akash is a nuclear missile, I'm sure its just a mistake but the soviets did have surface to air as well as anti-ballistic missile that had nuclear payload. Another thing why is the BrahMos not considered nuclear in so many international reports, on the other hand the pakistani Babur and Raad is always mentioned. Is this due to the incompetence of Indian diplomats or just because it is not used primarily as a nuclear strike missile (I feel that Pakistanis diplomats are much more charismatic compared to their Indian counterparts. However I still feel an Indian in my heart thus so much interest in our capabilities) Another article that highlights that India doesn't have nuclear tipped cruise missiles http://books.google.co.in/books?id=FuKWbnl-y5MC&pg=PA57&lpg=PA57&dq=lakshya+cruise+missile+nuclear&source=bl&ots=EF-QVSHXg0&sig=7i9iVTp581KBLTPDu0mLJjw7YCY&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=1&ct=result. Finally another failure of Indian diplomats as well as government is that they can never get their message across. After spending at least 2 hours researching about Nirbhay nowhere is it mentioned that its a nuclear missile(or is it not. I dont know how can u compete with Babur if Nirbhay cannot carry nuclear warheads). Thanks Loads. Enthusiast10 (talk) 23:50, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice. Just came back from one of those boring seminars. I guess i'll contact you via email on some rather sensitive matters next time. Another thing, can you go to the India and Nukes article. I have added a lot of info, ( not being a military man myself I have normally thought countries like to boast about their abilities, I guess India like Israel likes to remain off the radar.) In the article I have mentioned the P-70, Popeye, Moskit, Klub etc. All this is referenced as the info is already on the net. But for national securities sake pl remove anything that you find which will bring any harm to India. I'm planning to get the article reassessed so would be grateful if you could do "the Check" in the near future. I see that you are busy man and that your boss certainly is not as nice as mine. So I really would be very grateful. You have been of a lot of help and thank you yet again. Another thing I wanted to add was OTR-21 Tochka missile using this link which says India has it. Tell me if i should add it or not. THANKS yet again. http://www.nti.org/e_research/profiles/India/Missile/1756.htmlEnthusiast10 (talk) 16:16, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I have replied to your message castigating me for an alleged edit war on Kargil War (it rhymes! isn't it?) at the talk page of the article. Btw, have you really checked my reverts and the contents which were actually denied entry in to the article due to those reverts? Thanks. Shovon (talk) 13:43, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Got around to reading the article once. It's rich in information and has great potential to become a GA. Quick suggestions: the first sentence in the lead must be rewritten and a better sectioning should be done. -- Sundar\talk \contribs10:19, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Would you mind helping with adding locations, as per your edit summary. If I put them in the lead, it becomes a series of city (comma) state (comma) city (comma) state...which looks odd. Would a bulleted list suffice? Lawshoot!07:58, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for getting back at me. You were right, I was being very US-centric. I'm glad you are willing to help. I look forward to working with you. Lawshoot!11:37, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
There is a good news! yesterday 13 jan I wwent to Maharashtra state HQ and to Mumbai police HQ. I also visited Mumbai police Museum in Mum HQ!!! I got lot of infor from there but thay didnt allow me to take pics. And on 26 I an going to Parade so lot of Info and Pics!! aft 3 days check Mumbai Police page.
Hi!! You know why we are not able to expand Mum police and MumFB is due to lack of refrences. With out knowing this fact few people on wikipedia (They are not Indian) says that Articles on Vijay Salaskar, Ashok Kamte, Hemant Karkare are useless articles and should be deleted and says ""the relevant page is WP:NOTMEMORIAL: Wikipedia isn't a memorial site for deceased people. All articles on people who are notable only because they were killed in the Mumbai attacks belong merged into Casualties of the 2008 Mumbai attacks""(This article is not written as a Memorial nor as Homage) read this--Suyogtalk to me!09:40, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
SuperSection
Hi,
I'm really sorry, but I found your supersection really confusing and I had to delete it as there is already an active discussion going on about each of those images. It is pointless to start another discussion again on the same page. I'm really sorry. I found it tooo confusing. Please do add your opinions to the separate discussions. We would love your input. Nikkul (talk) 07:18, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
I've made a section entirely for discussion of images. This is basically your idea of a supersection except that it includes the ongoing discussion. Nikkul (talk) 07:32, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Images
The image I replaced was a non-free image. That may stay for a while but eventually will be deleted. The best way to eliminate this problem is to upload the images into Wiki commons in their respective categories and then link that image to the article using commonscat.
This can be uploaded to Wiki commons and put in respective categories. So if you find time, you can do it or else I will try to upload one or two images every day and will keep track of your edits in Commons so that there is no duplication.

You maybe interested in the Article Rescue Squadron
I notice some of your templates on your user page, and I would like you to consider joining the Article Rescue Squadron. Rescue Squadron members are focused on rescuing articles for deletion, that might otherwise be lost forever to Wikipedia, you may find our project matches your vision of Wikipedia.
Yes, a lot of improvements can be made to the page. One of those images says 58 days to go. Do you know when the image was taken, so that we can get the exact date of Commissioning.Chanakyathegreat (talk) 11:33, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

have a look at atricals related to indian defence forces/system, all are suffering large scale vandalism and misinformation with referances 4rm pakistan based news networks specailly DRDO and missile system. how can referances from pakistan based newsnetworks be taken as neutral n correct about an indian topic whn those referances sounds clearly anit-indian? I request you(as you are wiki-india project user with interest in defence) to have a look into these articals n correct them.(Sushilkumarmishra (talk) 12:45, 16 May 2009 (UTC))
Hi
It has been a long time since i have got back to you but it was that i got laid off and was looking for a job. Thankfully, i have been able to find one. I was in Ladakh earlier this month (not the best time to go) and well the pangong-tso situation is pretty bad but it is not mentioned in any of the wiki articles. Please go through this article. http://blogs.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/randomaccess/entry/the-chinese-think-big-we Its harsh but what we may say the truth. Hope this important information can be utilized in one of the wiki articles.

Unreferenced BLPs
Hello Sniperz11! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 395 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Hi, this is Jobin, a new wikipedia user. I came to understand that you have an interest in Computer and related topics. I am working on a few articles related to Programming in C. Therefore, I kindly request you to help me on these topics
My name is Victor Grigas, and I'm a storyteller at the Wikimedia foundation. We're telling stories of Wikipedia users, editors, donors, programmers and staff to paint a picture of who uses Wikipedia - for the 2011 fundraiser.
I am in the process of planning a trip to India to gather stories from Indian Wikipedians in face-to-face interviews (possibly on video).
My primary goal is to conduct 15-20 interviews, and hopefully enough of my interviews will make compelling stories that will effectively solicit donations from the public. These stories may also be used for other communication purposes by the foundation.
I found your userpage on a list of prolific Wikipedians and thought I’d reach out to you. Prolific editing is always a good story to tell!
