Chosen username is still just as promotional. The user states below that it continues to be their intent to violate WP:COI and spam this project. As the founder of Wikipedia has stated, those with COI should not edit the article directly, merely recommend changes on its talkpage (if the article ever exists). I manage content for Snap Surveys, Ltd. There was presiously a Wikipedia page describing our business. I understand that we can not have a user name that is direct relation to our business name. I would like to make this wikipage 'live' again with information about Snap Surveys (similar to pages like ConfirmIt or Qualtrics) to inform Wikipedia searchers of other available survey software solutions.Snapsurveys (talk) 19:27, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here's a few key questions:

Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a business directory?
Do you understand conflict of interest?
Do you understand that a wikipedia account must be accessed by one person only?
Do you understand that to be considered for an encylopedia article, the subject must be considered to be notable?

Answer: Yes. I understand that Wikipedia is not a directory for businesses. Snap Surveys has 32 years of history in survey software and research. I would like to chronicle that history of information on Snap Surveys for Wikipedia users as other business have (i.e. Confirmit, Qualtrics)

Do you understand conflict of interest?

Answer: All information about Snap Surveys will be neutral, free of any promotion, pricing, marketing, etc. The intent of this page is to inform Wikipedia viewers of company information only (i.e. history, founders, locations, description of business). Our focus for this page is to inform, not to promote.

Do you understand that a wikipedia account must be accessed by one person only?

Answer: I handle all content creation for Snap Surveys. A single account will only be accessed by me.

Do you understand that to be considered for an encyclopedia article, the subject must be considered to be notable?

Answer: Being the direct source of information about Snap Surveys, this information will be both significant and reliable.
We cannot accept primary sources for purposes of establishing notability, as they have an incentive to lie (whether blatantly or by omission) on the subject's behalf.
