Wanderlust album cover
What was the reason you replaced my own upload of the cover of Wanderlust with your own? Whichever way you want to put it, it still comes down to the fact it's non-free media, and all you did was provide a more detailed template and file name. Your source for it is not any more legitimate; both merely sell the album and do not own it, nor the image. On the whole, I feel it was unnecessary, and my image will now inevitably face deletion (as it is not being used on any page) because it appears you wanted your own version there for no real reason I can see. Blanking articles
Hi, you're probably right that those two song articles would fail an AfD, but all the same I'm not sure it's a good idea to just blank articles with no discussion and no note on the Talk page. In ictu oculi (talk) 18:54, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- In my view it's playing with semantics to say that blanking an article and redirecting it isn't blanking the article. I believe that removing an article from en.wp should be done by due process. In ictu oculi (talk) 20:21, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

Having artwork for Halcyon Days is not vandalism. Some pages have artwork for a deluxe version of the album. It's the same as that. hadji87

Why are you replacing JPG album covers with PNG versions anyway?—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 16:31, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

ARTPOP Consensus
@SnapSnap: There has been a long discussion on the ARTPOP talk page about what the critical reception section should state and I'm attempting to bring in outside opinions as the discussion has gotten stagnant. Just to make sure you understand the situation fully, here are the nine sources I've listed that explicitly state that the album received generally positive reviews: DigitalSpy, Metacritic's weighted consensus of generally favorable, The Huffington Post, Entertainmentwise, YahooMusic, The Southern Digest, Pride Publishing Group, Off the Shelf, Street Insider. I'm arguing for the page to state that Artpop received general positive reviews with a disclaimer afterwards that states that the reception has been more ambivalent than her past works. STATic has been engaged in this debate for months and has admitted twice that he dislikes Lady Gaga and even made fun of her and her fans, which obviously constitutes WP:Bias. Homeostasis has previously been blocked from editing due to his unprofessional behavior on Gaga pages and has recently admitted that he's been accused numerous times of bias against the artist in question. This has been a ridiculous process that had no business lasting as long as it did, but as you can see, the consensus is obviously generally positive, although the response was more ambivalent than her previous work. Mowgli's Road
Is there a style guideline that I'm unaware of that says to use pngs for album covers? MOS:IMAGES says that JPEGs are preferable in cases where there isn't a visible loss of quality. That's the case here, as the cover is mostly a photograph and handwritten text. Your PNG has a much larger file size for no apparent increase in quality. --ascorbic (talk) 20:41, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

Hello, is the United Kingdom not a country and a sovereign state too? Just wondering how having his location: Dumfries, United Kingdom is problematic. Thanks --Erzan (talk) 03:57, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Since only one image was decided/replaced in Material Girl, I have no choice but to remove the UK cover. Toni Braxton is American, so I should stick to the US cover. --George Ho (talk) 04:55, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

Voice actor(voice artist) redundant?
Okay first of all I don't agree that voice actor (voice artist) is a "redundant word". Let me take this seriously while yes, voice acting is another form of acting it is considered a separate entity, and sometimes some actors (e.g. Clancy Brown, Greg Ellis, Scott Menville, Johnny Yong Bosch, to name a few...) have done a balance of live-action acting and voice acting and it DOES NOT make sense to remove them and simply list it as "Actor". It's just like changing Mel Blanc or Jim Cummings' role as "Actor" instead of voice actor/artist?--73.166.187.154 (talk) 14:49, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
- @73.166.187.154: Unlike Mel Blanc or Jim Cummings, Kelly Hu's filmography does not consist exclusively of voice roles. Plus, Category:Voice actresses is a subcategory of Category:Actresses by medium, which also includes film, television, stage, etc. So yes, listing "voice artist" in Kelly Hu's infobox or lead section is redundant. SN▲P • SN▲P 18:57, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
- Please listen to what I said first, I never said she exclusively done voice roles, what irks me is your lack of common reasoning and jumping to conclusions to say she isn't a voice artist, look at the article I posted on Kelly Hu she recently said she done a balance of live-action acting and voice acting on occasion. But to be honest I'm not going through with you or anyone clarifying voice actor should be merged with actors because for one they are not supposed to be removed. You know what I'm not going through another fight like this because I can't take another chphroidbomb like you.--73.166.187.154 (talk) 19:53, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
- @73.166.187.154: You're the one who seems to have misunderstood what I said. What I meant was that since Mel Blanc's and Jim Cummings' filmographies consist solely of voice roles, it makes sense to describe them as voice actors in the intro, so their cases are not comparable to that of Kelly Hu. Why should voice acting be considered a "separate entity"? I never said Kelly Hu isn't a voice artist, but listing her as both an "actress" and "voice artist" is completely redundant and unnecessary (as I pointed out, Category:Voice actresses is a subcategory of Category:Actresses by medium). If you're going to list "voice artist" in the lead section, you might as well also list "film and television actress". And keep in mind that resorting to personal attacks can and will get you blocked from editing. SN▲P • SN▲P 17:22, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
- To add on SnapSnap's point, for people like Patrick Warburton, John Goodman, and Katey Segal are well-known for both live roles and voice roles, just the singular "actor" is a broad term that covers both. For someone like Grey DeLisle or Mary Kay Bergman who just have voice roles, it would be more suitable to use "voice actress" or "voice artist". Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:06, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Outside
Hi, I'm glad you finally found a cover for Outside but are you sure it is official. It's dimensions are 357x300 which is very different from the standard square (e.g. 300x300). Infact so different, it seems unofficial. What if the Denmark Amazon site just made a fanmade or found it somewhere? You know the official charts company? They even post unofficial covers of songs into their website which is really weird. I think it is better to leave it blank or change it back the the blue one. 60.242.83.242 (talk) 05:30, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
- @60.242.83.242: That was actually taken from the German Amazon site, there's no Danish Amazon. Why would Amazon use a fanmade cover to illustrate a CD single release? They even have the back cover image. Plus the dimensions of a cover image are not indication of whether or not the cover is official. Many CD single covers on Amazon don't have a square dimension anyway (see Harris's "Blame" for instance). SN▲P • SN▲P 17:59, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
Cover artwork for "Outside"
Hello, SnapSnap. I have added the cover artwork for your version and the old version, as I've checked, both are official. For the old version, I have sources to proof it is official:
So, I have decided. Thanks, Nahnah4 (talk | contribs | guestbook) 08:52, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
- @Nahnah4: The old cover fails WP:NFCC now that there's an actually official cover accompanying a commercial release of the single, which trumps YouTube. As for swisscharts.com, the site is known for using non-official single covers. SN▲P • SN▲P 18:41, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, okay, and well, I guess you do whatever you want to, and I did not know Swisschart uses unofficial covers. Cheers, Nahnah4 (talk | contribs | guestbook) 03:00, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
