Second archive

[edit]

You seemed to create a second archive page, but with nothing on it and this one blank. I went and added all the stuff which was meant to be added to the second archive to the archive02. Hopefully I didn't miss anything out. UnaLaguna 05:24, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Project Invitations

[edit]

Your recent batch of invitations to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Homeopathy contains an unmatched {|. It needs to have a |} added to the end of the box. This is causing formating errors on user_talk: pages. Please go back through your contirbutions and repair this. If you would like to be mass-reverted you can contact an admin. — xaosflux Talk 14:06, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done, all these were rolled back, feel free to resend, but check the orignial carefully first. Also, please make sure these are for people who would be interested due to a related proejct, widespread canvassing is not normally welcomed. Thank you, — xaosflux Talk 14:44, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyedit request

[edit]

Hello, Smith Jones/Archive03. I saw you enlisted at the WP:LoCE therefore I wanted to ask if you wouldn't mind to take a look at 2012 Summer Olympics bids (52 kb). Since it is on FAC, it had two complete sweeps by a reviewer, but another one still thinks the prose is not professional enough to support it. I've put a request on the WP:LoCE but I sense it will take a long time before it gets a writing-style review. I would really appreciate your help, but it's OK if for some reason you can't. Cheers! Parutakupiu talk || contribs 04:25, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry but your edits are filled with errors which also don't follow basic WP style guidelines. Plus, I would REALLY prefer that you don't mess with the section's structure. It's nothing against you, but I'd like a professional review, and your first edits haven't transmitted that so far. Parutakupiu talk || contribs 21:27, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Smile

[edit]

Hi. I've just added my name to Wikipedia:WikiProject League of Copyeditors#Members, and I noticed your name at the top, where you describe yourself as a "copeditor" [sic]. That made me smile and wonder Who watches the watchers? Who copyedits the copyeditors? Thanks for brightening my day.  :) JackofOz 09:34, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Therapautic Pocket Book, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Charles 04:23, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SmithJones: I'm sorry I missed the article before it was deleted. Abridged talk 22:52, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I noticed that you've been redirecting and merging a lot of character articles into this list. While it is appreciated and much needed, the way you're doing it is not acceptable. First, you really should have brought the idea up for discussion somewhere, just to see if there's a consensus to make the change at all. Second, you should never, ever copy and paste entire articles into a list like that. When you do that, unecessary things like infoboxes and category links get moved over onto the new article. Also, you haven't been adding section headers to distinguish the individual characters from the rest of the list and the original headers from the original article (sections like history in Galbatorix) are showing up as primary headers for the article since they haven't been converted to secondary headers with the character's name being the primary header. There are also many, many repetative internal links that aren't needed, but they're there because they came along with the rest of the article when you copied it over.

While I encourage you to continue editing Wikipedia and contributing where you can, I do ask that you try to get some help before undertaking tasks like this. It's caused quite a bit of confusion and frustration among several editors because they're being forced to clean up stuff you should have cleaned up before adding it in. I hope I don't come off as harsh, but these edits have been drastic and without regard to encyclopedic style or etiquette. I do want you to continue editing, but I think it would just be more productive if you asked questions and got help from other editors before diving in head first. Thanks. --pIrish talk, contribs 23:09, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is your only warning. The next time you make a personal attack, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Even if the user said something you disagreed with, you should never personally attack an editor like that. Just step back from the situation, cool down, and approach it in a calm and collected manner. Saying things like that will not help the situation in any way. pIrish Arr! 21:01, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Directions

[edit]

You appear to be lost. This project's goal is the writing of an encyclopaedia. The project which has the goal of collecting quotations is Wikiquote, which has had a quotations page for Eragon since 2005, which you could help to bring up to Wikiquote standards. Uncle G 21:06, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • The idea is to improve the article to make it better, not to completely overwrite everything that has already been done so far with something that is far worse, removing a whole load of quotations in the process. Please read the aforementioned Wikiquote standards to see what you should be aiming for. Uncle G 01:24, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Galbatorix and Eragon, by PIrish (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Galbatorix and Eragon fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

though not an implausible typo, chances of being used as a search are slim to none because there is no reason to search for this exact combination, you would search for the two names seperately

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Galbatorix and Eragon, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 21:43, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
