Unreal
[edit]Hi, please be aware of WP:COI and your editing of Unreal. I've reverted your edits as they introduced a claim that Epic were "happy so far", which is unreferenced and can be seen by some as an official endorsement or your work. --HighKing (talk) 15:10, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
I just stated what REALLY was said. Its the original text. From a reliable forum. Check your rulebook:
"An Internet forum with identifiable, expert and credible moderators with a declared corrective moderation policy may, exceptionally, be considered reliable for some topics. In this sense, where moderators act as editors to review material and challenge or correct any factual errors, they could have an adequate level of integrity. This exception would only be appropriate to fields that are not well covered by print sources, where experts traditionally publish online."
And stop spamming me with WP:COI because its not my interest here. I GAIN NOTHING OF THAT so how can it be WP:COI ? The page is free, the patch is free, indeed I pay for all that and don't gain something from it except to keep this game alive. God I hate this talking here is the no way to communicate over IRC or whatever?
- WP:COI is appropriate because you are the person behind the website in question. Also, if you read carefully the paragraph you quoted, the forum you point out does not qualify as it is a free for all. --HighKing (talk) 20:12, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
You should learn to read your own rules. Of course I am the person behind it, but still none of the points in there apply. Also I didn't put a link to the page, I just wrote ALMOST EXACTLY BY WORD what Epic said and not some re-interpreted nonsense. Its your personal opinion over facts here. And I didn't edit the page all the time, but what you wrote was simply incorrect, some personal opinion and left me no choice but to change it, because it was simply not the truth. But even if you can name me really one point of WP:COI which could fit here it doesn't change that you were wrong and only that I'm the owner of a webpage which offers a patch- which was not even named there - is no reason to deny me an edit like that.
I'm really tired of that arbitrariness.
If you have more to say do it in the official discussion. I have no interest in a private debate like that, because its nothing private.
