With this site's information I am going to write about the effects neglect has on a person, like for a child, when there is absence of nutritional requirements it can effect a child's development. Which can lead to long term health problems.

The book will also help me with consequences of neglect, resulting in different behaviors. Also it can lead to an on-going cycle. once its done to a child that child might grow up and neglect their own.

So Smanion0623 I'm guessing your going to write about all the different kinds of neglect and i will do the consequences and effects neglect has on people, then for some more ideas if any of the other editors want to find information on the factors associated with neglect or the treatments and preventions. --Btblick (talk) 00:17, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Physical Abuse and Neglect.

I chose this website, because it has great information about Neglect and tells more about the ways of Neglect and the ways of abuse. I read on this site about those two types are different in many ways. Physical Abuse is very different from Neglect and that is cleary stated on this website. Abuse is hitting, beating, shaking, throwing...etc. And Neglect is like not providing the child a home(shelter), not the right food, or not food at all... Although this Topic is just about Neglect, abuse sometimes plays a role in Neglect. Some say that physical abuse is worse than Neglect but if you look at their effects, you will see that your hurting the person either way. Physical Abuse is more common than neglect, you see a lot of videos on children that get beat to where they are black and blue. You'll remember for your whole life what that abuser did. Now, neglect is also common but not as common. Neglect, not giving the child or person the right kind of living style. Basically when you seee people on the side of the street homeless, they are neglected by their family. 1. This source could help improve the neglect page because it contain important information. Throughout the webpage, it goes though the determination factors of neglect such as the signs and warnings. In the article, it lists the observable indicators, whether they are for infant neglect or teen neglect. It continue by listing other factors.

2. This source is a good source because it was created by Webster University and it could provide more information. Throughout this article, it speaks about Elder abuse and Neglect. Then, it speaks about the different types of Neglect along with the cause of Neglect associated with Elderly people.

3. This source is an important source because it pertains to the elder neglect topic, however, it discusses the statistics of elder neglects. Then, it goes into examples of elder neglect.
