User page
[edit]I noticed that someone blanked your user page. If you look at their contributions for 12 June 2011 you will see that they blanked a number of user pages, and if you check some of them out you will see that they were inappropriate. It is obvious from your edit at Meiosis that you are here to help the encyclopedia, and as a Wikipedian I'm sorry you were incorrectly caught up in the daily grind here (hundreds of spam or promotional additions occur every day).
I would have simply reverted the blanking of your page, but actually you might like to rewrite it in a more conventional manner (this is just a suggestion). What you wrote is entirely appropriate for a formal presentation, but a user page here is normally more general and less precise about positions held (they don't matter here). User:TimVickers is sometimes used as an example of a user page, and you might consider the style used there. No picture, and only a sentence or two would be great (Tim has been here a long time, so his user page is much more elaborate than many editors, for example me). If you include a link to your website, perhaps only one? If you have any questions, please reply here (I will notice a reply). Johnuniq (talk) 09:45, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
Meiosis
[edit]I noticed you removed the image at Meiosis with a note that it is incorrect. Thanks for noticing and responding to the problem. I have uploaded a new version of the file and restored it to the article. Please let me know if something more needs to be done. In principle, we should discuss the article at its talk (discussion) page, namely Talk:Meiosis. However, if you like just reply here if something is necessary (I'm wondering how bad it is that the "Daughter Nuclei II" have flat tops, when I imagine they should be the same shape as originally, although of course the shape is just a representation).
By the way, I noticed that we copied the error from the original (credited at File:Meiosis Overview.svg), namely http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/About/primer/genetics_cell.html. Johnuniq (talk) 09:47, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
