Mesa Air Group/Mesa Airlines
[edit]The way Wiki works anyone can edit an article. So if you have information go ahead and add it. If the creator of an article wants to see what is happening they can mark the article as watched and then comment as necesary. Often I will start and article knowing very little and then hoping that other editors will find it interesting and continue to improve the article.
Now about the content. I believe that it is important to keep the corporation and the airline articles seperate. It seems to make more sense in terms of encylopedic data. This is important in the case of Mesa since they have grown a lot over time. I also believe, as do many other editors, that each airline should have an article. In fact over the last few months, many combined airline artciles have been split. So there is no need to have an article that covers all of the Mesa airlines. Just link to them from the main article. The fact the Mesa Air Group did not start until 1995 (or whatever that year was), does not mean that is when the history began. It goes back to when Mesa started flying, but it is not clear what the name of the holding company was back then. So when you do the updates, rememeber that it is not just about the company with the name being used today but rather it is all of the previous corporations. It can be difficult putting the information in the correct article in some cases. My opinion is to add it where you think it belongs. Anyone can move it later.
Oh, and welcome to Wikipedia. Vegaswikian 05:25, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'd only create an article for the defunct airlines if there is enough information to make a reasonable article. I consider about 8-10 lines of text a reasonable article in this case. If you can't do that, then leave what you have in the Mesa article. If you create an article, you can use the {{main}} template to point to the main article and leave a line or so in the mesa article. Or you could just do a list with links and include the extra text in the entry for the airlines without too much information. What's the best depends on how much data you have and how many airlines are involved. There is no simple answer. Vegaswikian 05:19, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Your edit to Aspen Airways
[edit]Your recent edit to Aspen Airways (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. Click here for frequently asked questions about the bot and this warning. // AntiVandalBot 15:29, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- What happened is you did the edit in 2 parts, in the first one you removed the redirect (which is akin to blanking) and in the second you added the content. As you saw on your second edit, if you do both within one edit, the bot doesn't revert :) - Glad to see you've fixed it :) Please let me know if you have any questions -- Tawker 21:01, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Airmidwestlogo125x98.gif)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Airmidwestlogo125x98.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:06, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
