Appleton Institute
[edit]Hello, thanks for writing this article! I’ve just read it and I’m a bit concerned that this organisation might not be notable enough to qualify for a Wikipedia article. That link goes to a guide, but basically any coverage of an organisation on here is supposed to be based on being covered in reliable sources, like newspapers, in the form of full articles and not just things like business listings. (University departments aren't automatically notable - Wikipedia discourages articles on them separate to the parent university unless they're very well-known, so you might want to add this information to the Central Queensland University article instead.
Are there any extra citations you can add about this organisation showing it's notable? I'm concerned since the article may get deleted otherwise. If so just edit the article and add citations using the cite tool. If you've got any questions just reply below this and I'll try to get back to you. Blythwood (talk) 15:54, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Appleton Institute
[edit]The article Appleton Institute has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Doesn't seem to be a notable department in its own right: I can't find independent coverage of it. Seems to fail WP:BRANCH.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Blythwood (talk) 23:34, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
