Niko's nationality

[edit]

The problem with that (asking someone who speaks Serbian or Croatian) is that it constitutes original research. While a good many sources state Niko is Serbian, I've advanced arguments as to why I find them unpersuasive. Sam Houser, the executive producer of GTA IV, has stated Niko is from that "gray area of Eastern Europe", this is why I've proposed we leave his nationality as "of unspecific Eastern European nationality" -- to prevent edit conflicts between those who believe he is Serbian and those who believe he is Croatian. xenocidic (talk) 15:30, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has suggested a different solution here. xenocidic (talk) 18:28, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, have fun reviewing the lengthly debate about Niko's nationality, it is also at Talk:Grand Theft Auto IV. I tried my best to come up with a "neutral" solution (being "Eastern Europe", since Serbia is included in that over-arching term), but it seems this is still unacceptable to some editors =). Anyways, feel free to drop by if you ever have any other questions! xenocidic (talk) 18:44, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
