John Kimble
[edit]I have removed the {{prod}} tag from John Kimble, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, it is best not to propose deletion of articles that have previously been de-{{prod}}ed, even by the article creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article, but feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! notoriety
[edit]Please look up the meaning of this word. it is not a synonym for "notability". DGG (talk) 19:15, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
John Lamb (producer)
[edit]You see to have put a "prod' tag on this article. The man is the winner of a Oscar, and thus clearly notable. (similarly, being the member of a national team in any sport is notable, referenced or not.) Several other editors have noticed similar articles prodded without justification. Referenced or not. unreferenced is quite clearly not a reason for deletion, either by prof or afd or any other method. The criterion is "unsourcable", not unsourced. Please see WP:Deletion policy. We very much appreciate your work in spotting article that need improvement, but the rationale for proposed deletion is an article which clearly would be deleted if taken to afd, but which you think nobody is working on or will defend. The thing to do with articles lacking references is to try to find references for them, not propose them for deletion in the hope that other people will find references. If you try and fail, then you should list for deletion, explaining that your tried and could not find any. deletion is a last resort. DGG (talk) 19:13, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Redirect of All In One Voice
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on All In One Voice, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because All In One Voice is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting All In One Voice, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Adminship?
[edit]I just found out that you aren't an admin, despite your extraordinary dedication and hard work. My only comment - would you like adminship? I'd be delighted to nominate you at RfA, if you think you're up for it. Considering the huge amount of work you do at [1] RM (as well as AfD, and excellent gnoming), I'm sure you'd get through easily, if you were up for it. So what do you say? — Giggy 08:24, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Your moving of ENZSO (album)
[edit]Hey! Why'd you move ENZSO to a title case? It's not a word, it's an acronym as it refers to split enz and NZSO (new zealand symphony orchestra). I've already moved it once. Now I have to request the mvoe back. Are you familiar with the subject matter? I don't mean to come across harsh, but if you were, you'd be aware that the naming convention would side with the title being all capitalised. --lincalinca 10:51, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Stub Tagging
[edit]Could your bot not tag classical composition stubs with {{songs|class=stub|importance=|needs-infobox=|auto=yes}}. They are NOT covered by WikiProject Songs. Centy – – 20:34, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- I second this. Articles about Handel's oratorios don't fall under wikiproject songs. thanks! Fred 01:14, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Re: List 5
[edit]I'm a bit unsure about them myself. I will make the bot ignore them when updating the list. Sorry for the late answer - I've been on vacation. Jogers (talk) 13:16, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Appropriate place to discuss Mensalão move
[edit]This page is not where moves are discussed. People just place the proposals there, and each proposal has a link to the discussion, that takes place on the article's talk page. This is the best place for you to place your comments. A.Z. 06:05, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- I thought the word was a neologism, but I just found out it isn't. It was, however, a significantly obscure word before it was used to name the scandal. A.Z. 06:34, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Meet Nero Wolfe
[edit]Hi there — Would you revisit the article for the film Meet Nero Wolfe and reevaluate your tagging it as a stub? Although this is a relatively new film article, I don't believe it's a stub. There's also a template visible at the bottom of the article that's redlinked. Thanks, WFinch 15:36, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- << The major thing that is lacking (see templates on talk page) is the "film image" - a poster or DVD cover for the infobox. Once that's added, it can easily be upgraded to start.>>
- Done. All of the template requirements are now fulfilled, I believe. Will you edit the article and talk page to reflect that? Thanks, WFinch 21:27, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- << I updated the article page, but left a note on the talk page thereof. The "filmimage" is not a screen shot, but the film poster, or DVD or VHS cover scan. >>
- Thanks for removing the template from the article page. You're right, the "filmimage" I've put in the infobox is not a screenshot — it's a scan of an original, vintage promotional photo, as described in the fair use rationale on the image page. This is a little-seen 1936 film that, among a great many other titles, has never seen a legitimate release from the studio. It's never been issued on DVD or VHS, so there is no cover to scan and no screen to shoot. Perhaps, though, the note you've left on the talk page will draw the attention of an editor who has a copy of the film poster, although I would think this image is adequate. I expect this happens from time to time with old, obscure films. Thanks for your attention. — WFinch 03:46, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Your bot
[edit]Please consider changing the behavior of your bot to not create talk pages for redirects, these tend to get nominated for speedy deletion and deleted with regularity under WP:CSD#G8 only to come back. Carlossuarez46 19:32, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking into this, I wasn't losing my mind, but then you bot wasn't losing its either. :-) Carlossuarez46 20:38, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:1ACX01.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:1ACX01.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:29, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Small error by your bot
[edit]Hey, your bot tagged the talk page of Wilfried Hou Je Bek with the appropriate boxes, however, the page was deleted on September 6, 5 days before your bot tagged the talk page. Any reason it'd be tagging deleted pages? Metros 10:33, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Incorrect code placement
[edit]Hi there! Book articles which are tagged as stubs do not need this additional template on the talk page : {{Stubclass|assessment=Wikipedia:WikiProject Books|project=Wikipedia:WikiProject Books|template=WPBooks|category=Book stubs}}. This code adds the talk page to Category:Book stubs, which is unnecessary because stub book articles are sorted into more distinctive sub-categories. Please settle for using the WPBooks talk page template, which already includes a parameter for stub class. I know this is run by a bot, so please adjust your bot accordingly. Thanks!!
