Speedy deletion of Leslie Hindman Auctioneers

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 17:07, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is possible that this company is notable enough that there should be an article about it here. What you have created is an advertisement. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:59, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined

[edit]

I've decided to decline the speedy deletion at this time, only because there's evidence of notability. However, please be clear on a couple of things: it is inappropriate, and a violation of our conflict of interest guidelines for you to be writing about your own company. Let someone else do it. If your company is notable, it will be noticed by an uninvolved editor. I realize you're new around here, but if you continue working on this article, it could lead to a revocation of editing privileges. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 18:10, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Leslie Hindman Auctioneers

[edit]

I have nominated Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Leslie Hindman Auctioneers. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 18:14, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Leona Helmsley, you will be blocked from editing. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:06, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am only citing and linking facts. The sale of Leona Helmsley's clothing estate is most certainly notable and received much press.

Would it be more acceptable if i removed links to Leslie Hindman's website? I understand the COI issue, and I hope that now others will contribute to this article. If someone else had edited Leona Helmsley's article, would that edit have been acceptable? I am trying to understand this here.

Last warning about COI

[edit]

I realize you're new around here, but let me be really clear: none of your edits should have anything to do with your company, including edits to articles relating to things your company is selling. If you want to edit the articles Renaissance magic, North Bund Tower or Amiga Disk File, that's great, I wish you happy editing. It is considered rude, self-promotional and a violation of policy to edit articles that directly relate to the company you represent. I don't mean to be harsh, but you made quite a few edits after my note to you above, which you seem to have simply ignored. If I see any further transgressions, I will have no choice but to block your editing privileges. If you have any questions, please drop a note here or on my talk page. Speedy deletion of Eric Dahl

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Eric Dahl requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
