To whom it may concern,

The description of chestnut blight, its introduction to N. America, causal organism, and epidemiology is incorrect. I understand that this is a public forum for encyclopedic knowledge; however, if you don't understand the pathology or biology of C. parasitica, please don't add information to this page. I have spent the last 5 yr of my life studying this fungus, and I intend to edit this page. Therefore, as a cry in the dark, I ask you not to contribute to this page if you can't provide a valid reference (i.e., historical references/bulletins or peer-reviewed article) for your statement(s).
