Orphaned non-free media (Image:Burytownfc.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Burytownfc.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:16, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey Siva, I'd just like to let you know that you voted twice in Gary King's RFA. I indented your second support vote. Cheers! SpencerT♦C 16:53, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

RFA thanks

Thanks for your support in my RFA, that didn't quite make it and ended at 120/47/13. There was a ton of great advice there, that I'm going to go on. Maybe someday. If not, there are articles to write! Thanks for your support. Lawrence § t/e 17:42, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

My RfA...

Thank you...
...for your participation in my RFA, which closed with 85 supports, 2 neutrals and 1 oppose. I'm extremely grateful for all the the kind comments from so many brilliant Wikipedians I've come to respect and admire, as well as many others I've not yet had the pleasure of working with, and I'll do my best to put my shiny new mop and bucket to good use! Once again, thank you ;)

Rfa thanks

Thanks for supporting my recent request for adminship which was successful with 89 supports, 0 opposes, and 2 neutrals. Unfortunately all I can offer is this lame text thanks rather than some fancy-smancy thank-you spam template thingy. I was very pleased to receive such strong support and to hear so many nice comments from editors whom I respect. I’ll do my best with the tools, and if you ever see me going astray don’t hesitate to drop a note on my talk page. Thanks again for your support!--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 03:42, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Lady Aleena's RfA

Siva1979...Thank you for supporting my nomination for adminship. Through it I have become aware of a great many people who can help me in my future editing endeavors. Even though I was not promoted, your support shows that I still have something to contribute to Wikipedia, even if it is minor edits to fix spelling and grammar to working in WikiProjects to help others make great articles. If you wish to further discuss the nomination, please use its talk page. Stop by my talk page anytime, even if it is just to say hello. Have a wonderful day! - LA @ 03:59, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Thank you from Horologium

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed unanimously with the support of 100 editors. Your kindness is very much appreciated. I look forward to using the tools you have granted me to aid the project. I would like to give special thanks to Wizardman, Black Falcon and jc37 for nominating me. — Horologium

Manchester United Grammer

I liked your comment about the grammer using is or are for a club regarding Manchester United. I'm from the United States, and we see the club as one not as multiple players, thats why we use is for a club, besides aren't Man U Americanized enough?

New Project

Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.

If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 07:01, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of All-Round Athletics

I have nominated All-Round Athletics, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/All-Round Athletics. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Tan | 39 18:58, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

User has incorrectly marked dozens of footballer bios with "weasel word" template

Hi. I see you like football and that you are an experienced editor. A user with the name of User:Drfubar has incorrectly tagged dozens of footballer biography articles with {{weasel}}. How should this be handled? Thanks for your help. --Wloveral (talk) 17:13, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Rfb participation thanks

Hello, Siva.

I wanted to personally thank you for taking part in the project-wide discussions regarding my candidacy for bureaucratship. After bureaucratic discussion, the bureaucrats decided that there was sufficient significant and varied opposition to my candidacy, and thus no consensus to promote. Although personally disappointed, I both understand and respect their decision, especially in light of historical conservatism the project has had when selecting its bureaucrats. If you have any further suggestions or comments as to how you think I could help the project, please let me know. Once again, thank you for your both your early and strong support. -- Avi (talk) 16:35, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

My RfA

Hi Siva; I wanted to say thank you for supporting my request for adminship, which passed with 100 supports, 0 opposes and 1 neutral. I wanted to get round everybody individually, even though it's considered by some to be spam (which... I suppose it is! but anyway. :)). It means a lot to me that the community has placed its trust in my ability to use the extra buttons, and I only hope I can live up to its expectations. If you need anything, or notice something that bothers you, don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks again, PeterSymonds | talk 22:21, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your support at my recent Request for adminship. Perhaps we will have a chance to collaborate in the future. I hope you find I live up to your expectations. Best, Risker (talk) 13:43, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Brookhousefc.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

The following images also have this problem:

RfA thank-spam

Siva1979/Archive 25, just a note of appreciation for your recent support of my request for adminship, which ended successfully with 112 supports, 2 opposes, and 1 neutral. If there's something I've realized during my RFA process this last week, it's that adminship is primarily about trust. I will strive to honour that trust in my future interactions with the community. Many thanks! Gatoclass (talk) 06:26, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

RfA thanks!

RfA: Many thanks
Many thanks for your participation in my recent request for adminship. I am impressed by the amount of thought that goes into people's contribution to the RfA process, and humbled that so many have chosen to trust me with this new responsibility. I step into this new role cautiously, but will do my very best to live up to your kind words and expectations, and to further the project of the encyclopedia. Again, thank you. --jbmurray (talkcontribs) 05:48, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Your RfA participating

Siva. I generally follow all RfAs, regardless of voting or not. I have noticed your participation recently and saw a pattern of responses that are virtually identical to one another... all supports seem to be the same, all opposes seem to be the same. Furthermore, looking here I see that in the past you have voted in 5+ RfAs all in the matter of about 10 minutes. Often 3 RfAs in 3 minutes, etc. It appears that you have participated in hundreds of RfAs in such a manner. I didn't come here to be accusatory, but I admit I have a lot of concern regarding this. Do you feel obligated to vote on all RfAs you click on, regardless of time spent researching the candidate? Do you ever look beyond the RfA page itself to make a decision on a candidate? My concern is that you may be coming to the RfA page and make quick, short votes on several RfAs on after the other without actually looking into the candidate. Of course this is your right, but I'm not sure how much it is helping us build consensus on whether or not to pass a particular RfA. I appreciate any comments you may have on this. Gwynand | TalkContribs 19:06, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

My recent RfA

Thank you for supporting my RfA, which unfortunately didn't succeed. The majority of the opposes stated that I needed more experience in the main namespace and Wikipedia namespace and talk space, so that is what I will do. I have made a list and I hope I will be able to get through it. I will go for another RfA in about three month's time and I hope you will be able to support me then as well. If you have any other comments for me or wish to be notified when I go for another RfA, please leave them on my talk page. If you wish to nominate me for my next RfA, please wait until it has been about three months. I will not be checking back to this page so if you would like to comment or reply please use my talk page. Thanks again for participating in my RfA! ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 06:48, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Hello Siva1979/Archive 25! I'd like to leave a note of appreciation for your recent support of my request for adminship, which ended successfully today (and to my surprise) with 83 supports, 4 opposes, and 2 neutral. What I have taken back from my RFA is that I've perhaps been too robust in debate and I will endevour to improve upon that aspect of my usership. I would like to thank you again and state here that I will not let any of my fellow Wikipedian's down. Thanks again! --Jza84 |  Talk  11:33, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

#Support No problems here

Your comments "#Support No problems here! " seems a regular Crtl C + Crtl V at the RFAs. :) No offence intended ! Anyways have fun and happy editing -- TinuCherian (Wanna Talk?) - 12:36, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Yes, read my comments above as well. I'm not sure there is any way we can convince Siva to add more to his !votes. Siva, you should understand that complete duplicate vote, either support or oppose, greatly devalues the vote. No one has any idea that you have researched the candidate or knows what your thoughts are or why you are voting. You should seriously considering adding something to your responses. Gwynand | TalkContribs 12:38, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Yes Siva, As you know RFA is a not a vote , you may probably consider telling why you support/like/hate/oppose the candidate. Just a suggestion , you may ignore my comments. -- TinuCherian (Wanna Talk?) - 12:52, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks!

Go beyond RFA’s... again

Hi Siva1979, I actually don’t want to come across blunt, but... wouldn’t you think it would be a good idea to go back to editing beyond WP:RFA’s & WP:RFB’s? It’s quite some time ago we saw you on encyclopaedic articles? What do you think... change focus a bit from the meta side?--Van helsing (talk) 00:48, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Arundelfc.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Arundelfc.gif.

Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:03, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. I noticed from the list of participants at WP:FOOTY that you are a Manchester United fan. A task force has been set up to help improve articles related to Manchester United, and we are looking for participants to help with the effort. If you would be interested, please add your name to the list at the task force's page. Thanks. – PeeJay 10:14, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Enfieldfc.jpg.

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Angcombagde.jpg}

Thank you for uploading File:Angcombagde.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. AfD nomination of Cumnock and Holmhead

I have nominated Cumnock and Holmhead, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cumnock and Holmhead. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. ninety:one 20:52, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:WikiProject Georgia (country) category-class articles, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:WikiProject Georgia (country) category-class articles has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:WikiProject Georgia (country) category-class articles, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
