Welcome to Wikipedia!

Why don't you follow the link on the template and see my reasons. You can voice your opinion there. This may or may not be kept, depending how the discussion goes. Wikipedia has guidelines for notability, and in my opinion, they don't satisfy them 100% Also, the article is worded like an advertisement for the school, especially the last paragraph, and that is not allowed here. I hope you understand. Reywas92Talk 23:18, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- In addition to notability guidelines, content must also be of a minimum level, and citations are also useful. As an example, you may want to see Troy High School (California). +A.0u 00:52, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
I am sorry it was deleted, but it wasn't notable enough. If you really think it could ever pass notability guidelines, then you could try Wikipedia:Deletion Review, but it is still unlikely to be undeleted. Reywas92Talk 00:47, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- I know you put much effort into that deleted article, but please don't feel overly discouraged. +A.0u 03:29, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Re:Nice user boxes
Thanks for liking them! I think that Wikipedia:Userboxes may be helpful to you. It tells how to make your own; there is a template so it is pretty simple, and has links to full lists of them that you can copy, though due to the migration to userspace, they are a bit scattered. Quote
I pretty sure that quote is from The Emperor's New Groove, when Yzma and Kronk are entering her secret labroratory. Am I right? GeneralIroh (Leave a message after the beep if you gotta problem.) 01:26, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
That is right! Sir Intellegent 01:57, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
For reference the quote is:
"Pull the leaver [some one]." (clink) "Wrong leaver!!!!!" (splash) "Why do we even have that leaver?"
The new one I'm guessing...Atlantis: The Lost Empire. GeneralIroh (Leave a message after the beep if you gotta problem.) 01:12, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
your guess is correct! Sir Intellegent 01:15, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
For reference, the quote was:
"Look at the size of this thing, It's gotta be a half a mile high at least. It must have taken hundreds, no, thousands of years to carve this thing." (BOOM) (some one else)"Hey look, I made a bridge. It took me like what? 10 seconds. 11 tops."
Adoption or something
Hello. Looking at your thingy (I think that should be a word. I use it alot) on the Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User/Adoptee's Area/Adopters page, I see that out personalities actually (almost) match (no not the thing that lights things on fire). Any way when I look at your user page, you said you wanted to return that adopting favor. And the first user box on my page should show an opportunity for you. Let me know if your interested! Sincerely, Sir Intellegent 20:48, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- Aside from you looking at my thingy (you know, there are Peeping Tom laws....), I think we could do this adoption. If you're willing, I can drop a "I'm adopted by the Geek" userbox on your page, and drop a "I adopted this guy who can't even spell his username" userbox on mine. ;-) Let me know what you think! (and quit peeking at my thingy!) - NDCompuGeek 03:59, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Adopted!
Now that you're kind of sort of mostly officially adopted, do you have any questions for me? Just remember - you make my life too-oo difficult (as in, ask really, really tough, esoteric questions), I'll have to tell my wife on you - and she is tough!!!! (actually, she's a BABE, but a softy) ;-)) - NDCompuGeek 15:46, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Question #1
Is this type of redirect allowable if it is meant to be a shortcut? (oh, and check this out, I made it my self!) Sir Intellegent 01:15, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- I don't fully understand your question (no old man age jokes, or I'll hit you with my cane), but if you're talking about a link that is labeled simply "go there", then the answer is yes, it is allowed, but it is discouraged. The reason is that it is easily misunderstood, so it is always preferrable to link it as "a cool userbox", or something like that. Descriptions will always help the link to be better understood, and allow the reader a better-informed choice if s/he wants to follow it. Does this help any? By the way - it is a cool userbox...! - NDCompuGeek 14:41, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
What I was talking about was the actual redirect. Is it ok if it doesn't have the WP: in front of it? Sir Intellegent 01:42, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes and no.... It is preferred to link directly to the target page, not to a redirect page - but it is possible and allowable. The "Perfect Link" goes directly to the target page, and is labeled to prevent confusion. At least that's how I understand it! If all else fails, check out Help:Link for further guidelines. - NDCompuGeek 03:24, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- What I meant was the acuall redirect, as in if (by some wild chance) someone was to type "ubxen" into the search or something and it acted as a redirect that doesn't have the prefix on it, is it ok (I wasn't talking about the link to the redirect page or how it was presented). Sir Intellegent 18:58, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- O-o-o-oh.... smacks forehead with desk I think it is OK to redirect from "namespace" to "wikiproject" space to "portal" space "wikipedia" space and so on. I think the only criteria is that it has to be a common choice, follow common sense, and not direct away from a previously-established page. Something like "UBX" → "Wikipedia:Userboxes" I think would be OK (but it already goes somewhere [even if the Ultrabithorax is written so that you need a PhD to understand it], so actually it isn't, but I hope you know what I mean though).... Again, check out the links page above for further reference, and if that doesn't give a definitive answer, let me know! - NDCompuGeek 23:05, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Paradigm_small_banner_dude_rgb_internet.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Paradigm_small_banner_dude_rgb_internet.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 14:46, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Patsy Cline page edit
Hi there, I'm writing regarding the my edit of the Patsy Cline page. I wrote most of the article a while back when there was no entirely full bio page for her and was editing the paragraphs so that they fit in chronological order. It said that I had vandalized the page? How so? Rather than erasing other people's additions, I was placing them in order so that the events of her life could be read orderly. I certainly didnt mean to vandalize. This page is most important to me in that I feel it should be as well as possible. Please help! Thank you! PatsyCline1fan
Sorry about that. I was looking at IP addresses. If there are endless strings of edits by an IP address, and the last one or one of them are a vandal, I Twinkle it. The Road to Success is Always Under Construction
I have added a "prod" template to the article The Road to Success is Always Under Construction, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Fram 14:50, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
It is not important if other articles exist or not, Wikipedia is not run by precedent, and we can't judge all articles at once. There are many articles on Wikipedia which should and probably will be deleted, and I take them on as I come across them. An article has to be able to survive on its own merits, not because some other article is worse in your opinion. Are there any reliable sources about the book? Reviews in the NYT Literary Supplement? Awards? Other elements to make it notable? As far as I can see, it is a self-published book which is available through Amazon and so on (not a big deal) and which is deposited at the Library of Congress (again not a big deal, anyone can do that), and which has gone unnoticed since. Fair use rationale for Image:Bust-a-move_Bash_Title_screen.JPG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Bust-a-move_Bash_Title_screen.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The Sunshine Man 17:54, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

Question #2
Is it ok to create a sock puppet for my DS so I can browse without the tool box thing on the left (aka. turn it off in the options) with out having to turn the side thing on and off (it is useful on the computer). Sincerely, Sir intellegent - smartr tahn eaver!!!! 21:40, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- First of all, don't refer to your potential account as a sock puppet: it has a VERY negative connotation. As for setting up an alternative account, the only official guidance I can give you is WP:SOCK#Legitimate_uses_of_multiple_accounts and Wikipedia:Username#Using_multiple_accounts. I hope it helps.... As for my opinion personally, I don't think there will be a problem with it, as long as you label your account properly with the appropriate labels and templates. - NDCompuGeek 00:22, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Status changer
Thanks for the tips!
Here is how you get the status changer:
1. Create a page called User:Sir Intellegent/Status and copy the below to it

2. Create a page called User:Sir Intellegent/StatusTemplate and copy the below to it
<!-- Credit User:Misza13 --> <div style="border: 0px solid black; background: white; float: right; position: relative; top: -30px; padding: 5px"> Sir Intellegent's status: {{ #switch: {} | in=<span style="color: green;">Online </span> | busy=<span style="color: blue;">Busy/Away </span> | out=<span style="color: red;">Offline </span> }} </div>
3. Copy the below to your monobook.js file
// User:Voice_of_All/Addtabs/monobook.js importScript('User:Voice_of_All/Addtabs/monobook.js'); // User:Misza13/statusChanger.js importScript('User:Misza13/statusChanger.js');
4. Clear your browser's cache
You should now see in, busy, and out to the left of log out at the top of the page (on any page)
To change your status, simply click in, busy, or out!
Please note that you must use the monobook theme for this to work.
--FastLizard4 (Talk|Contribs) 02:35, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
Oh, paste
to any page you want your status displayed on.

RENOVATION COMPLETED!
Renovation to your userpage has been completed!
The old discussion about renovation has been moved here. I left a new message there, so look there for further information about me finishing the renovation. Your old userpage has been moved here.
Congratulations!

By the way, you may now resume editing your userspace.
Other important info
The actual body of your userpage is here -> User:Sir Intellegence/Body
The menu at the top of your userpage is here -> User:Sir Intellegence/Menu
Unfortunately, you will have to re-protect your userpage as it was moved in the process.
- That should do it. The template "-" simplifies what I believe is
<br clear=all/>
. It moves everything down so it will not conflict. I believe what I did should solve your problems. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 03:54, 7 December 2007 (UTC)- What I needed to be fixed was the centering. I wanted the original menu to be centered like it was and the status template up and to the right, possibly to the right of the "Sir Intellegence Smartr tahn eaver" title. I am sorry for the trouble. Sincerely, Sir Intellegence - smartr tahn eaver!!!! 23:09, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, I'll take a look at it a little later and see what I can do. --FastLizard4 (Talk•Index•Sign) 03:24, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Greetings!
I do not have an account at this time (I don't feel I have enough to contribute to make it worthwhile). However, I received a message on the top of the "antisemitism" page, claiming that someone at my I.P. address was a vandal on that page. I suspect that since our ISP changes our IP address frequently, this message is now inaccurate (and it is difficult to say, precisely, how many people have used that IP since the message was created). I was wondering if it would be appropriate to remove that message?
Thanks!
P.S., my email address is jakykong@theanythingbox.com, if you need to contact me regarding this. I'd be happy to help however I can. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.36.40.31 (talk) 06:23, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Bust-a-move Bash Title screen.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Bust-a-move Bash Title screen.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:17, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Please update your status with WP:VG
Dear WikiProject Video games member,
You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or User WPVG somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.
The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.
All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:
- Editing video game-related pages in the Article namespace
- Participating in video game-related discussions in the Project namespace (WT:VG, WP:AfD, WP:GAN, etc.)
Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Dear Sir Intellegence,
You are receiving this message because either or User WPVG
is somewhere in your userspace, and you are currently listed in the "Unknown" section on the project's member list.
The member list is meant to provide a clearer picture of active membership. It is recommended that you update your status if you plan to regularly:
