Niuean Test-Wiki

[edit]

Hi Sioneholof,

I have created the Niuean Test-Wiki here. Your application will be conditionally approved if you have created a sufficient number of articles (approximately 100) on that test Project.

For example, the Rotuman test project has recently created a test page while the Hakka test project has been conditionally approved because it has over 100 articles.

Beveridge Reef

[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Beveridge Reef, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Could you please write a stub incubator:Wp/niu/Kurów – just a few sentences based on http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Kur%C3%B3w ? Only 3-5 sentences enough. Please.

PS. Article about Kurów is already on 200 languages and dialects. If you do that, please put interwiki link into English version. If your village/town/city isn't yet on PL wiki, I can do article about it. (I'm first author of requests) Pietras1988 TALK 07:54, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good News!

[edit]

Greetings Sioneholof ,

The request for Niuean Wikipedia has now been verified as eligible

This means that after these 1732 interface messages have been translated into Niuean, then the Test-project will qualify for Final Approval. To translate those system messages, follow these steps. --Jose77 (talk) 00:37, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sioneholof,
The interface messages needs to be translated into Niuean before the Niuean Wikipedia can qualify for final approval. To translate those messages, simply log in to Betawiki and then ask for Translators' priviledges. --Jose77 (talk) 22:19, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Niue General Election 2008

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Niue General Election 2008 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Niuean Wikipedia interface translation

[edit]

Hi Sioneholof,

You have been granted translator priviledges here. Here are the messages that need to be translated.

When you are on Betawiki, go to "my preferences" and set your language preference to "Niuean". This makes translation more easier.

Good Luck with the translation effort! --Jose77 (talk) 07:53, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Niuean Cabinet of Ministers

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for adding the names of Talagi's Cabinet members to the article Niuean general election, 2008. However, could you please provide a source for that information? I've tried to find one, and can't. The Niuean government's website has not yet been updated, and I can't find anything in the online media. Where did you get the information? Thanks in advance. Aridd (talk) 09:32, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Website have just been updated Sioneholof (talk) 16:41, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you're talking about this page, it hasn't actually been updated yet. Any information added to Wikipedia needs to be properly sourced, so we just need to know where you got the information. Thanks. Aridd (talk) 09:31, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This was anounced on TV Niue last Thursday, I am sure the website you are referring will be updated sometimes this week.Sioneholof (talk) 10:44, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All right, thanks. And thank you for adding the information to Wikipedia. In the meantime, could you please edit the article on the election, and indicate that your source was TV Niue? Aridd (talk) 13:32, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok will do that thanks Sioneholof (talk) 15:02, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
