I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! I marked this page for speedy deletion as you were the sole author and had blanked the page. That is usually taken to mean that the author is requesting deletion. I suggest you work on your page either in a personal sandbox User:Sintingegneria/Sandbox or use the Article wizard before trying to write it in the main Wikipedia article space. I have marked the similar page "GSA - Grounding System Analysis" for speedy deletion on the grounds that it is promotional and a conflict of interest. Jc3s5h (talk) 10:45, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

User name policy

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (Sintingegneria) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because promotional name. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account to use for editing. Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company, organization, or clients. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block. Alexf(talk) 16:40, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

Dear Sir, I realize the reason why you blocked my username. My mistake was caused by the several wiki pages that I picked as example in the wiki page List of computer simulation software. These pages made me think that reporting about a calculation software in a indipendent way was not wrong. So I created this username that is similar to the name of the company in which I'm ending my engineering studies to create a page about a software that I'm using to write my thesis. In conclusion I would like to ask you to enable me once again with my new username. I ask you this favour because i would like to edit and to create some topics that are discussed in my thesis. Finally I would like to ask you also if I can introduce some link to the GSA software because it is a well known software among the grounding system designers. Waiting for you answer I thank you for your collaboration

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Elen of the Roads (talk) 13:36, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
