Referencing[edit]
There are many acceptable referencing styles in Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for guidance. The most common form for new articles is to use the citations templates described at Wikipedia:Citation templates but this is not required. The style of citations you are using is mostly fine.
The one thing you want to avoid are things like "See reference 32" or "ibid" since reference numbers change over time.
Wikipedia allows you to combine references by giving the first one a name then using just the name with the "self-closing" version of the reference tag. I did this in a few places in this edit. I didn't finish the task of combining references, I just wanted to get rid of the "See note xx above" ones before their numbers became incorrect.
Another option is to use a sources list and a references list separately. This is explained in the Citing Sources page linked above.
On a related note, if you read and write Russian, consider translating this into Russian and putting it on the Russian Wikipedia.
Also, consider nominating this page to have a one-line blurb of it appear on the Main Page in the Did You Know? section.
