Indian cricket team[edit]

Please start a discussion at Talk:India national cricket team about moving it, using the WP:RM process, rather than continually moving it unilaterally. It looks to be like the men's team is a clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, as it gets significantly more views than the women's team does: [1], and so the current name appears to be consistent with Wikipedia standards. Note that Wikipedia is not here to WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS, and whilst we want to be gender supportive, if significantly more people are looking for the men's team, then we should make the men's team easier to search for. Hi @Joseph2302
I am sure you would agree that search for women's cricket team must have increased in recent times and it is going to be only upwards and onwards from here on after a successful T20 world cup win and WPL2023 season.
Just updating the primary topic doesn't justify the intent of the wiki that talks about India national cricket team. India women's cricket team is as much a national cricket team as men's cricket team. So if Gender Inclusiveness comes by making more gender specific content, I think we should encourage that.
Harmanpreet Kaur is as much a captain of India national cricket team as Rohit Sharma. I hope this makes sense.
Thanks

Hi kanika i think you should rather try to improve the women's article as it has not that much information as the mens article has. Saha86830 (talk) 11:23, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
