Air France counter pic
[edit]Hi! You removed the Air France counter pic in this revision
But the image doesn't say that these were the May 31-June 1 AF447 passengers. Keep in mind that AF has two flights from Rio de Janeiro. However Agencia Brasil took this image as part of its AF447 coverage, so it is relevant. WhisperToMe (talk) 19:12, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit]I'm undoing your picture additions again. It's a copyright issue. There's more information at Wikipedia:Image use policy regarding this. The easiest way to look at it is, if you didn't take the picture yourself, don't upload it, b/c you don't own the copyright. The photos you uploaded look like publicity shots, which aren't covered. We'd all like to have nice pictures on all the article pages, but we have to look at legalities. Hope this helps. --Ebyabe (talk) 15:31, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Ok thanks, I'm new at this and forgot to read the thing concerning copyright :) but how do we know that http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:AmandaTapping.jpg <- taken from comiccoin 2007 is ok to upload :)
". Image also used with copyright holders permission on Gateworld" ok I read that now :) thanks for the tips.
File source problem with File:Boblazar.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Boblazar.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:53, 5 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 20:53, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Boblazar.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Boblazar.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 20:53, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Ref- boblazar4.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Ref- boblazar4.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 04:25, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
Hell's kitchen season six external links
[edit]Hello. External links to official websites of former contestants of Hell's kitchen are not necessarily out of the ordinary. On the external links section of other seasons pages, you will find links to winners and runners-up. 1 23 4 The links which you have removed have been up for at least one month.5 The links on the pages for the other seasons even longer. I am going to put them back up. If you believe this is inappropriate or perhaps a violation of policy, the best thing to do is bring it up on the talk page for season six as that is the page that is most active at the moment. thank youTlatseg (talk) 07:03, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Please do not add unreferenced or inadequately referenced controversial biographical information concerning living persons to Wikipedia articles; a strong reliable source is needed for bios of living persons. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 21:47, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Gene Hackman
[edit]I do not find that Sean Connery's article says he is retired in the lead section of the article, it is in the section covering his acting career. The lead section is the part that exists before the first section, generally called "Early life" or something akin. If you want to put in the article that Hackman announced his retirement of whatever, that goes in the section about his career. However, you can't say that Hackman is fully retired, you can only say, from the source, that he is no longer acting. It doesn't say that he isn't writing, either. This does not belong in the lead section, however. Also, try being nice when you post to other editors, don't leave snarky comments. Wildhartlivie (talk) 09:34, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

Hank Skinner
[edit]Hello Sigge, The recent reversal that you made to the page of Hank Skinner has been reverted, and wikipedia requires information not to be placed out of context. Everyone has the right to edit valid information but the article has to be kept rational and comprehensible. The edit by Comptrad was giving a context to understand the last execution date, since it is a fact that there are pending litigations that make this decision controversial to say the least. It needs to be developed, not eliminated. Please keep this in mind.
