'Cmon, at this point you've got to reconsider. :) Samaritan 14:44, 6 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! Btw, I don't even try to get the full VfD page any more: I just do http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Log/2005_May_6, individually by day. Samaritan 15:13, 6 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Serial comma

[edit]

Hello. In the past, I think you've spoken in favor of having guidelines on the serial comma in the WP Manual of Style. Currently, a few users have been taking out all guidance on that, replacing it with a statement that the MoS takes no position. They've said they reached a consensus on the talk page. Would you care to comment there? Jonathunder 22:13, 2005 May 9 (UTC)

Virii

[edit]

Okay. Maybe a more appropriate tag would be 'merge with virus' or 'rename to virii. But this entire article basically discusses only a grammatical plural, so I'm not convinced as to its encyclopedality. But I am not a linguist so I may be wrong. Radiant_* 12:22, May 25, 2005 (UTC)

  • Certainly, if you have a better suggestion, you can remove the transwiki tag. Doei, Radiant_* 08:16, May 26, 2005 (UTC)

Adminship

[edit]

Dear Sietse, I'd like to thank you for supporting my nomination. It was appreciated.--Wiglaf 22:04, 25 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

[edit]

Thanks for your vote in support of my admin nomination. Paul August 16:33, Jun 1, 2005 (UTC)

Thank you

[edit]

Hi Sietse!

I know this is a bit overdue, but I wanted to thank you for supporting me in my RFA. Thanks to you and all of my supporters, I am now an admin. I have been using my powers to help further Wikipedia in general, and I want to thank you for making that possible. Thanks! Linuxbeak | Talk | Desk 00:10, Jun 16, 2005 (UTC)

User page deletion

[edit]

May I ask for the reason you wanted your userpage deleted? By the way, I come in Utrecht too. I study at the University there. - Mgm|(talk) 16:30, Jun 21, 2005 (UTC)

I've replied by e-mail. Sietse 16:59, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

eerste nl.wikimedia.org ontmoeting

[edit]

[edit]

Hi - I made a list of users who've been around long enough to have made lots of edits but aren't admins. If you're at all interested in becoming an admin, can you please add an '*' immediately before your name in this list? I've suggested folks nominating someone might want to puruse this list, although there is certainly no guarantee anyone will ever look at it. Thanks. -- Rick Block (talk) 14:14, Jun 25, 2005 (UTC)

  • do we need to get an admin to close the vfd? Nateji77 30 June 2005 15:45 (UTC)
  • Re: Lushunkou, thanks for the spell fix — might want to check your preferences, evertything you edit is showing as minor. User:Fabartus || Talkto_FrankB 3 July 2005 00:37 (UTC)

User page

[edit]

Come to my userpage!--Yo Mama 5000 6 July 2005 20:49 (UTC)

I don't know what that means.--Yo Mama 5000 7 July 2005 18:18 (UTC)

I had sort of half-forgotten about the translation. Thanks for reminding me. It's done, now, anyway, along with some general wikification. One problem, though: Swedish capitalisation rules traditionally mean only the first word (and proper nouns, of course) is capitalised in titles. I'm thinking about moving it, therefore, to Blekingska nationen, but I'm unsure of how Wikipedia conventions are on organisation names in other languages. --EldKatt 11:00, 10 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Aircraft specifications survey

[edit]

Since you have been a contributor to aircrat articles, you may be interested in a survey currently underway to help develop a revised version of our standard specifications section. Bobblewik 19:33, 20 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

LGBT changes

[edit]

I liked your changes, but I am concerned about the length of these summaries for two reasons:

  • I don't want edits to the detailed pages on each word to have to be replicated on this one, and
  • as summaries, I am trying to watch their length (looking for help trimming the last two too).

I appreciate your edits, though, and will not block you if you feel strongly and/or gather consensus. -Harmil 20:23, 27 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
