Citing your own blog

[edit]

Just to let you know that using your own blog as a reference for an article, as you did here, is against WP:RS (blog aren't reliable sources), and discouraged by WP:COI (if you are connected to a website, you should be careful about linking to it or using it as a reference). --McGeddon (talk) 09:14, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't that I found your link "unrelated or not adding sufficient value" - WP:SPS only allows the use of blog sources when the author is "an established expert on the topic of the article whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable third-party publications". So far as I can see, you don't meet these criteria, and it wasn't even clear what you were trying to source - you added your reference at the end of the fragment "Home cooked and restaurant Punjabi", which is not a complete sentence. --McGeddon (talk) 10:51, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
