Hello,
Thanks for the title you have suggested, which is correct, but perhaps a little too long. The idea is to list undergraduate and post-graduate colleges built in the renaissance period in Bengal Presidency under the present title. Maybe IACS could be left out since Calcutta University too has not found mention in this list. Also, Fort William College does not owe its origin to the Bengal Renaissance movement; it was a direct contribution of the colonial administrators in Bengal long before most of the colleges listed here were founded.

Speedy deletion nomination of Birendra Narayan Chakraborty
[edit]A tag has been placed on Birendra Narayan Chakraborty requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. [edit]Dear Sidhu Jyatha (talk · contribs) Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at British Raj. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block.
That particular image of Bose is too low-resolution to convey any specific information about him or the INA; furthermore, it is still under copyright. See the Singapore National Archives. PD-India is not the correct tag for it. Please self-revert. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 23:49, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- I have nominated the picture File:INA Parade.jpg for speedly deletion. Thanks for inadvertently pointing out the issue to me. I discovered another INA picture that is also under copyright. It is all the more reason for you to self-revert; instead if you have issues, post them at the Talk:British Raj page where I have opened a thread. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 23:49, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000.
