Glad to see someone taking an interest in Childe Cycle. Are you the guy who posted from an IP about being one of the Exotic Irregulars? I met Dickson once, at a con in 1979. Fascinating guy. Fan-1967 00:33, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I wasn't in Chicago in those days. I was in St. Louis. I think it was the first or second Archon in 1979 where I met him. I was younger then and had more hair. (Oh, by the way, I guess I shouldn't have assumed you were a guy. Somebody made the opposite assumption about me just yesterday.)
By the way, on Talk pages, but never on articles, you want to sign your posts. It makes discussions easier to follow. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Fan-1967 13:27, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Usually if I post a question that needs a reply, I'll leave that person's talk page on my Watch list and check for an answer. Otherwise, posting on my page will obviously get my attention with the "You have new messages" thing. Fan-1967 19:40, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
