Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to User:Jethwarp/Kutch Gurjar Kshatriya Samaj with this edit, did not appear to be constructive, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Tresiden (talk) 12:14, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Kutch Gurjar Kashtriya. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

: Your above said edits blanking my user page User:Jethwarp/Kutch Gurjar Kshatriya Samaj and one article page Kutch Gurjar Kshatriya amounts to Vandalism and you could be banned from editing Wikipedia for doing so. It seems to be a case of intentional Vandalism as you have blanked two pages at once.Jethwarp (talk) 09:04, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Jat people. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:36, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dhoot - please stop the disruptive editing

[edit]

There is a long-standing article about the Jat people Dhoot, with a lot of incoming links. If you want to create a new article about a different use of the word "Dhoot", you must not do so by over-writing the existing article. This change of yours has been reverted several times already, and it is disruptive to the encyclopedia. To create a new article, give it a different title (eg Dhoot (surname) or Dhoot (Rajasthan). If you believe that your "Dhoot" is the WP:PRIMARY use of the word, then use the proper REQUEST MOVE process to move the existing article to a new title, and change the incoming links. Please stop disrupting the encyclopedia, or you are likely to be banned from editing. PamD 08:43, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article List of maheshwaris has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

there is already a article i.e., List of Maheshwaris with almost same content .

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Your contributed article, List of maheshwaris

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, List of maheshwaris. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - List of Maheshwaris. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of Maheshwaris - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 07:47, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Vishwakarma (caste), you may be blocked from editing. Sitush (talk) 07:50, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Chauhan and at Jhala (clan), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Non-resident Indian and Person of Indian Origin, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rajasthani (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm Andy Dingley. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Stepwell without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. The removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Andy Dingley (talk) 11:44, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions

[edit]
The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.

  • You must stop your apparent campaign to remove or alter material related to various ethnic groups without explanation or justification. Recently you have been attempting to remove references to Gujarat and Gujaratis, from Pune ([1]), Indians in Singapore ([2]) and Stepwell ([3]). If this does not stop, you will be blocked from editing. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:56, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've just reviewed more of your recent changes, and they consist almost entirely of removing mention of various ethnic groups, and changing the ethnic origin of people (eg changing several articles about people from Maharashtra to say they are Rajasthani without sources), and you have not used a single edit summary. If you make one more unsourced and unexplained change, or one more removal of content without explanation, you should expect to have your editing privileges withdrawn. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:08, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sri Ganganagar, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Rajasthani and Bagri (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:47, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have looked at your recent edits, since I warned you to stop removing content related to ethnic groups without any explanation, and after I pointed out the discretionary sanctions regime currently in effect. And I see you have carried on regardless, removing mentions of ethnic groups, languages, etc, with no explanation. If you continue once this block expires, you should expect to be blocked for longer, possibly indefinitely. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:52, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
