Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tour name

[edit]

Established consensus for the name of Michael Jackson's tour in support of Bad is that it is just the Bad tour. To change the article to show that the proper title is the Bad World Tour, you'll need to provide reliable sources to support the change and get consensus for the change at the talk page of the article (i.e., Talk:Michael Jackson). —C.Fred (talk) 16:25, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Jackson occupations

[edit]

There's already enough occupations listed in his infobox, please do NOT continue to add more to the field- doing so is just unnecessary bloating. Snuggums (talk / edits) 15:55, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

In case I wasn't previously clear enough, STOP ADDING OCCUPATIONS TO THE INFOBOX. I know you mean well, but it is unhelpful. Snuggums (talk / edits) 17:03, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

October 2014

Hello, I'm MusikAnimal. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Michael Jackson  with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. — MusikAnimal talk 16:20, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Shikhar490. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Snuggums (talk / edits) 17:17, 25 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm SNUGGUMS. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Michael Jackson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page This Is It. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:59, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from changing genres, as you did to Michael Jackson, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Mlpearc (open channel) 19:12, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
