A tag has been placed on File:Happy Boy.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Non-free rationale for File:Http---s3.india.com-wp-content-uploads-2014-10-abram-khan.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Http---s3.india.com-wp-content-uploads-2014-10-abram-khan.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. KylieTastic (talk) 14:06, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your image uploads

[edit]

You've uploaded serveral images, and they all have issues which will likely see them being deleted. Images uploaded to Wikipedia must comply with Wikipedia's image use policy. Images should be under a free license. In very limited cases, non-free images may be allowed if they meet all the Wikipedia:non-free content criteria. With respect tou your image uploads, they generally have not specified a source (where the image came from), and they do not specify a license. Images found on the internet are generally copyrighted, and uploading them to Wikipedia without proper permission is a copyright violation. As a new editor, you may wish to visit the Teahouse where you can ask questions and get help about contributing to Wikipedia. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 17:53, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 2007 World Cup (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on SRKbros requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Please attribute or claim media you uploaded or restored: File:SRKbros In Restaurant.jpg

[edit]

You uploaded or restored , File:SRKbros In Restaurant.jpg, but for various reasons did not add an {{information}} block, or indicate your (user) name on the file description page. Media uploaded to Wikipedia needs information on the SPECIFIC authorship and source of files, to ensure that it complies with copyright laws in various jurisdictions.

If it's entirely your own work:
please include {{own}} in the relevant source field, amend the {{information}} added by a third party, ensuring that your user name (or name you want used for attribution) is clear in the author field, and change the license to an appropriate "self" variant (if such a license is not already used). You should also add an |author= parameter to the license tag, to assist reviews and image patrollers. You can also add |claimed=yes and an |author=to the {{media by uploader}} or {{presumed_self}} tag if it is present to indicate that you've acknowledged the image, and license shown (and updated the {{information}} where appropriate).

If it's not entirely your own work, or the media is based on the work of others:
Please update the source and authorship fields, so that they accurately reflect the source and authors of the original work(s), as well as the derivative you created. You should also not use a "self" license unless the work is entirely you own. Media that is incorrectly claimed as self or {{own}}, will eventually be listed at Files for Discussion or deleted, unless it's full status is entirely clear to other contributors, reviewers and image patrollers. You should also read Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission which details how to confirm any permissions you obtained for works by others that are still in copyright.

Whilst this notification, relates to a single media upload, it would also be appreciated if you could ensure that appropriate attribution exists for other media you uploaded, You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

It's okay to remove or strike messages like this once the concerns have been addressed. :).

Reversion at Tiger Zinda Hai

[edit]

Hi there, re: this edit, while you obviously meant well, the point of an article lead is to explain the most salient aspects of the article subject, the whos, whats, wheres, etc. We typically include the nation of origin of a film, and the production language if it can't be automatically inferred. "Bollywood" is a slang term for the Hindi film industry in India, but that's not a globally-known piece of information. If you asked people in Brazil who might've heard what "Bollywood" is, they would probably just assume it refers to the entire Indian film industry. Thus, the primary topics we should be mentioning is India and Hindi-language. As for "epic", as with most genres, that's an entirely subjective label. We shouldn't be manipulating or adding genres without including proper sourcing that demonstrates that the majority of reliable published sources consider it an epic. Thank you. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://learningparadisehub.com/showbiz-profiles/iqra-aziz/.

Control copyright icon Hello Utkarsh Alias 272! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Please don't upload images that you find online. Generally, those images are copyrighted by someone else. This includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pintrest, news websites, and just about every other website out there. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 18:53, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without evidence of permission. Please take this opportunity to ensure that you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content.

  • You continue to add copyright violating images to articles despite many many warnings on this talk page as to why this is disallowed. I've blocked you for an indefinite period; that is, you are blocked until you can demonstrate to an administrator that you understand how our copyright policy works with regard to image uploads and use. Note that there have been various other concerns with regard to your editing, including your propensity to restore your edits when they are reverted due to valid concerns, that you should be willing to address in an appeal if requested by the reviewing admin.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:12, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My reply to Ponvo

[edit]

User:Ponyo apparently blocked me. I've had enough on Wikipedia pretentious and intricate image sharing policies. I had justified my reason to a previous mod on my talk page who had deleted my photos and he later on went to delete that section from my talk. Ponvo, I'll be very honest and I'm elaborating this one last time. I clearly specified the name of the copyright holder in my file and also included the URL from where it was taken. The early photos which I uploaded were all taken from Google where they had been present in thousands of websites. Not a single website included the licensing details and they were using it without any details stated. This only means that the file LIES IN PUBLIC DOMAIN. I manually edited some of the photos using editing apps to get a finer version and all I did was just to provide an interactive experience on Wikipedia for the incoming audience. Such behavior of speedy deletion and blocking only discourages editors. I had even pleaded for a proper tutorial on means to access and upload free images on Wikipedia and even followed the rules stated on Image copyright policy yet my work was getting deleted. I am done with Wikipedia and I'm leaving this community. Well done bitches for ruining your experience. Best of luck for begging for donations this year again. Just to keep your silly encyclopedia running. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Utkarsh Alias 272 (talkcontribs)

You have ignored multiple messages here, and on Commons about copyright. I even provided you with a very straightforward warning. Don't copy files from the Internet. Yet that did not deter you. Your concept of public domain is incorrect. The fact that an image has been displayed on the Internet does not make it public domain. Most everything published is copyright by default. -- Whpq (talk) 14:13, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
