Looking at this article, it includes many links to players names; however some of these links are going to disambiguation pages (such as Ian Rogers). If you are inserting links into a page, that go to a disambiguation page, could you please make the link more specific. For example (I don't know which if any of the links is the correct one for this Ian Rogers) the link may more appropraitely be to Ian Rogers (chess player).

Thanks for your contribution to the encyclopedia.

Please note though, although this is a long-running competition, you have not really identified how it is a notable chess competition - It attracts more competitors, but is this just because there's nothing else to do in Canberra (which is a common enough claim!) ? References to sources independent of the competition (is there a chess magazine or journal which has covered the event?) would also be a significant improvement to add. Australian Championships

[edit]

Hi Shaun, Are you able to shed any light on the discussions I had at Talk:Australian Chess Championship, i.e. (a) Was there a championship in 1967, and (b) was there a Hay-Fuller playoff in 1972? Peter Ballard 02:30, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
