Hi

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you have been creating several new pages for awards and ceremonies in last few days. My kind request: Please get to know more about the awards and the ceremonies before you create them, sometimes it's better to wait! You have created pages for the Vijay Music Awards and the BIG Entertainment Awards, both which were instituted this year only. It's not known much about these new awards, they are very unnotable yet. Regarding the latter, it's part of the BIG Regional Entertainment Awards and given in four languages but you haven't mentioned that. Also the winners list seems incomplete. I find it's too early to create pages for these awards, you can't know whether they will be still given the next year or the year after. I know, it's too late anyway now, since you have already created them, but I thought I should inform you about this, before you continue creating further such pages. Awards should be somewhat notable to get a separate article on Wikipedia, they should be given some years and gain notice. They should be known and popular among common people. Anyways, happy editing! Johannes003 (talk) 18:56, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I just meant to say, it's better to wait some few years to see whether these awards get established or whether they get vanished. Not every single award or award ceremony needs a page, they need a certain reputation first. It was just a suggestion from me. Johannes003 (talk) 15:19, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
