[edit] Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 22:51, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit]This "Sorry sunshine, you have to open an account with Wikipedia otherwise you're below me in the pecking order" as found here is a violation of WP:DONTBITE, untrue, and unnecessary. Please treat all editors with courtesy and respect at all times. – Lionel (talk) 04:09, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for trying to keep Wikipedia free of vandalism. However, one or more edits you labeled as vandalism, such as the edit at The World at War, are not considered vandalism under Wikipedia guidelines. Wikipedia has a stricter definition of the word "vandalism" than common usage, and mislabeling edits as vandalism can discourage newer editors. Please read Wikipedia:NOTVAND for more information on what is and is not considered vandalism. Thank you. – Lionel (talk) 04:14, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
Your edits to Adolf Hitler
[edit]Your recent editing history at Adolf Hitler shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. -- Dianna (talk) 23:35, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
Recent photo edits
[edit]Hi, Shanequinn12. Your additions of photographs to articles are welcomed, but when changing the lead photos on pages, please first discuss your potential changes on the article's talk page. Thank you.Hoops gza (talk) 17:26, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
- I am reverting your changes to Reinhard Heydrich and the others. Please do not engage in edit wars to insert your preferred photos into these articles. That kind of behaviour is considered disruptive. Please find something more productive to do with your time here on Wikipedia. Thanks. -- Dianna (talk) 13:01, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
- On Hans-Ulrich Rudel you took thirteen edits to insert a photo caption. All these changes have to be permanently saved on the servers. If you could please take advantage of the "show preview" function before you save your edits, that would be great.
On Eamon Dunphy you removed material with sources, and inserted a bunch of quotations without saying where they came from. Wikipedia's policy of WP:verifiability requires that we show where we got the stuff we add to the articles. Please don't add any more unsourced material to the articles. Thank you. -- Dianna (talk) 13:22, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

[edit]This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. With your Michaela Tabb edits. Chip123456 (talk) 19:51, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
You didn't have to go into too much detail. --Chip123456 (talk) 19:53, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Roy Hodgson, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Jolee Blon'
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Jolee Blon' requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Dori ☾Talk ⁘ Contribs☽ 05:04, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
Johnny Giles quotes
[edit]Please stop re-adding the quotes to the Johnny Giles article. Wikipedia is not the place to collate all the quotes about an individual; that is what we have Wikiquote for. – PeeJay 04:25, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
