Adding citations

[edit]

Information icon Thanks for contributing to the article Shahidi. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable, by being clearly attributed to reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Please help by adding more sources to the article you edited, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the material (see here for how to do inline referencing). Thanks! P.S. If you need any help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you.

Meanwhile, I undid your changes to the article, because they were also unclear. If you can provide citations frp, reliable sources, you can retrieve the text via the "View history" link at the top of that page.

You might of course prefer to contribute mainly to the Farsi wikipedia, where I am sure your help would be most welcome. – Fayenatic London 21:13, 3 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your message. There are a few problems with your edits:[1]
  1. Some of your sources appear to be private sources, which Wikipedia calls "original research" and cannot accept, see WP:No original research.
  2. Some of your writing is not in clear English, e.g. "The biography of this martyr hung out in porch of main mosque".
  3. You have deleted the occupation of one person, without explanation.
  4. You have moved another person out of alphabetical order, and formatted the line badly by making the link extend to the whole entry.
  5. You have added a dash to the References heading.
The formatting can be fixed easily, but the first two points are the main problems. If you do not have independent published sources for some of the material, then please remove it. Please also work at explaining things more clearly in good English.
I hope this helps. – Fayenatic London 16:32, 4 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for dealing with the minor points above, but the main problems remain. "His biography is hanging on the entrance porch of main mosque of Bafgh city that is buried in that place" - what is buried? this implies that the mosque is buried. How is a biography "hanging" - is it displayed on banners? – Fayenatic London 06:43, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,Dear Fayenatic London.-- Amir.
thank a lot for your comments and guidance. -- Amir.
I tried to correct my text format and references and to modify the text to convey the correct concept.-- Amir.
1- I found the mistake in that sentences and fixed that. He is buried in main mosque of Bafgh city and his biography inscription is hanging on the entrance porch of mosque.-- Amir.
2- the biography is written in frame board like inscription and is hung in porch of mosque. is it correct?-- Amir.
your comments will be highly appreciated.-- Amir 07:51, 5 June 2016 (UTC).[reply]

OK, I tried to rewrite it. I had to delete the last section because of the rule WP:No original research.
Is Bafgh the same as Bafq? – Fayenatic London 09:03, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

that's right, internal links improved, Amir (talk) 21:19, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Midstream
added links pointing to Terminals, LPG, GTL and Processing
Upstream (petroleum industry)
added a link pointing to Production
