Thanks for the index. Very useful! 201.29.233.27 16:10, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Are the entries linked to the FP article of unknown origin? E.g., the quotation at the top of chapter 7 is attributed by Eco to "Fragment of Turfa'n M7" which http://www.huge-entity.com/2006/03/on-nature-of-shattering-god-in-stained.html alleges is fictional? Hi there ShadowyCaballero. Just a quick note. Daath is the 11th sephira falling below the supernal triad Kether (Crown), Chokmah (Wisdom), and Binah (Understanding) with an attributed meaning of Knowledge. It actually doesn't exist as such, and is position at the veil of the abyss, fitting in with ideas of transmutation akin to capuut mortem, signified by the skull and bones (ever heard the 'brotherhood of death'; they misheard! The two sephira which are said to share sympathy are malkuth (kingdom) and kether ('Kether is in Malkuth and Malkuth is in Kether, but after another manner, Malkuth reflects Kether, for that which is above is like that which is below, and that which is below is like that which is above.') It is said as the element of earth is a combination of the other three elements (Fire, Water, Air) it is the mundane reflection of kether. As the hermetic axiom goes 'as above so below' (paraphrased). You might want to look into a concept of the tree as manifest through the tetragrammaton called Adam Kadmon.
