User talk:Sgazda
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Sgazda, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:Sgazda/sandbox, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.
Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Sgazda/sandbox
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Sgazda/sandbox, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.
Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page.
You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text
{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

Request reason:
S = first letter of my first name and gazda = my last name Sgazda (talk) 02:44, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I understand, but that gets problematic real fast when the first edit you make is about your company with the same name. See the long and short versions of our conflict of interest policy. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:37, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
I'm a first-time wiki editor and when I went to create a page I was guided into "sandbox" mode where my edit was supposed to be practice, not a real post. If I somehow posted it, I was not aware. But it was very obviously not a completed edit or newly created post, it was like 2 sentences. Further I read through the conflict-of-interest guidelines and making a post about a business I am affiliated with is "strongly discouraged" but it doesn't say not allowed so long as I disclose my affiliation. I haven't learned how to link sources yet so here's the best I can do for now. Source: Wikipedia:Conflict of interest 2603:9000:830C:E400:7547:B4AF:2254:D178 (talk) 06:56, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
All edits to every page on Wikipedia appear in the Recent Changes feed; there are no private areas here(though some are harder to find than others). This is only a username block, please follow the instructions to propose a new username, or you may just create a new account with an acceptable username. Please be familiar with the conflict of interest policy, as well as the paid editing disclosure requirement if you are editing about your company. It is true that it is not absolutely forbidden to edit about a topic for which you have a conflict of interest, but you must be fully open about it and not make direct edits related to it in most cases, instead you should submit drafts using Articles for Creation and edit existing articles via edit requests on the article talk page. Even though it is technically allowed, it is rare for someone with a COI to succeed at creating a new article about the topic for which they have a COI, as it is hard for them to set aside what they know about it and only write based on summarizing independent reliable sources. 331dot (talk) 07:20, 10 July 2022 (UTC)

Links to other pages on Wikipedia are accomplished by placing the title of the target page within double brackets, so that [[Joe Biden]] appears as Joe Biden. Please place new posts at the bottom for proper discussion flow- this is easier when you click "edit" and not "new section" to edit while in full desktop mode. 331dot (talk) 07:20, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
