Image source problem with Image:Arc logoa2.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Arc logoa2.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:28, 7 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Image tagging for Image:Arc logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Arc logo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Alpha Rover Consortium

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Alpha Rover Consortium, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Scorpene 20:01, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Alpha Rover Consortium

[edit]

Alpha Rover Consortium, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Alpha Rover Consortium satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alpha Rover Consortium and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Alpha Rover Consortium during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Into The Fray T/C 15:50, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. I have nominated Alpha rover in the same nomination as the above. Cheers, Into The Fray T/C 16:12, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:ALPHA black logo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ALPHA black logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:18, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

Unspecified source/license for Image:Arc logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Arc logo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 23:53, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

COI warning

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Steven A. Garan, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.--Morenooso (talk) 22:30, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do not paste a copy of the article into the AfD page, as you did here[1]. Doing so is unnecessary and disruptive. Instead, you can offer an argument for keeping the article, by appending you comments at the bottom of the AfD page. Thanks, Nsk92 (talk) 23:14, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sgaran for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page.

I rolled back your recent edit on Paola S. Timiras. As you know, I'm suspicious that you may have been editing under the ip 64.85.252.225 which was recently blocked for vandalism. My apologies in advance if this is not the case, but I think your reversion was unwarranted in any case--the material you restored was not sourced. If the information is correct, please provide reliable sources that can be verified. --Nuujinn (talk) 00:20, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I will not edit war with you on this, but I feel I must point out that your edits assert that Timiras is "now Professor Emeritus, Department of Molecular and Cell Biology and currently a co-director of Center for Research and Education on Aging (CREA) at UC Berkeley." According to UC Berkeley, [she died in 2008]. The obituary is linked at the bottom of the page. Also, I believe "future Nobel laureate Roger Guillemin" is an example of WP:CRYSTAL. These are not helpful edits, it might be worth reconsidering them. --Nuujinn (talk) 00:51, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I removed your insertion of the Automated Imaging Microscope System article into the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Automated Imaging Microscope System discussion. It's not helpful to copy parts of the article under discussion into the discussion. Please contribute to the discussion by advocating for the article's deletion or retention. --Nuujinn (talk) 00:31, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some suggestions

[edit]

I'm assuming good faith, so I thought I would make a couple of suggestions.

  • Regarding the sockpuppet investigation, you should probably respond, and definitely if you respond, do so truthfully.
  • Your recent history of edits seem disruptive, in particular, you are added unsourced material, some of which is apparently false, to articles such as Paola S. Timiras. Such actions are not helpful, and I ask that you please cease. If you feel that these changes are warranted, please discuss them on the talk pages of the articles.
  • In regard to the article for deletion discussions, I would suggest that a better course of action would be to seek out some reliable sources to establish notability according to the guidelines at WP:N.

I hope this is helpful, if you have any questions. --Nuujinn (talk) 17:39, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

May 2010

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Phenomics. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Crusio (talk) 18:55, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edit removed content from Talk:Paola S. Timiras. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. It is extremely bad form to alter another editors comments, such edits distort the discussion. Please cooperate with others. Nuujinn (talk) 21:35, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:PaolaTimiras.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear.
