If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Labor party queensland leader 2012 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 06:42, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sarah Agius requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Wikipedia is not a place for writing about yourself

[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, but it is not a place like Myspace or Facebook for people to write about themselves and their families and friends. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography. The links in the Welcome message at the top of this page will tell you more about Wikipedia; also, I think you should read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors.

I have deleted your article Sarah Agius, which was actually almost all about two other people, one in a band and one footballer. Quite apart from the fact that you shouldn't write about your own family here, see WP:MUSICBIO and WP:NFOOTY respectively for what a musical performer and a footballer need to have achieved before they can have Wikipedia articles.

Wikipedia:Your first article is a good introduction to what is needed to make an acceptable article. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 08:58, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Your article Labor party queensland leader 2012 was almost completely copied from http://australianpolitics.com/political-parties. That site is marked "Copyright © AustralianPolitics.com 1995-2012", but even where a source doesn't have a copyright notice, you mustn't copy material into Wikipedia. It could cause serious legal trouble. Above every edit screen it says "Content that violates any copyrights will be deleted." Please read Wikipedia:Copy-paste, which explains this. You must not copy into Wikipedia

[edit]

Sarah, your sandbox was copied from https://marianss.eq.edu.au/Pages/default.aspx. I explained above that you must not copy material into Wikipedia, not even into sandboxes or user pages. Please read Wikipedia:Copy-paste. If you do it again, you may be blocked from editing. JohnCD (talk) 10:19, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
