There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

  Help contribute to articles

  Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.

First steps

[edit]

Congrats on editing your user page. I had a nice chuckle when I read the "Death" section. :D I must have confused you with the instructions. You can write your intro on your user page in freestyle. But I know you've already got the organization skills down for the main article you're going to be writing!! The enrollment should be easy for you to complete.  Partly done Crtew (talk) 18:50, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I feel a little silly now! Definitely had a good laugh at myself! I've made the proper adjustments! Sflikens (talk) 19:50, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A special invitation for you!

The next step is picking out an area or a country I would like to explore. I would like to explore Israel, more specifically Jerusalem. Sflikens (talk) 20:27, 17 January 2014 (UTC) exclamation mark [reply]

You have been assigned to improve upon the stub article of Associated Press camera operator Nazeh Darwazi, who was shot and killed in Nablus, West Bank, while he reporting on the Second Intifada in the occupied territory in Israel. While you write this work in User:Sflikens/Nazeh_Darwazi and we will discuss moving sections to the main article as you improve it. Crtew (talk) 02:08, 21 January 2014 (UTC) [reply]
