Do you actually plan on bringing those up to standards? If not, you may want to read WP:OWN. You have no need to bring those back unless the can actually meet the guideline. TTN 12:18, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So would you care to show where you're getting your detailed production and critical reception information? If you're just saying that and you're just going to leave them, they'll be redirected again in another run. TTN 12:40, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discuss it on the seperate talk pages. -->7+1 12:51, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can you just show me here instead of trying to just make me go away? If you're going to do it, you need sources. Otherwise, they'll be sitting there as they have been. TTN 12:53, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Timesbold

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Timesbold, by Katr67, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Timesbold seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Timesbold, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Timesbold itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 01:16, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for not taking the deletion personally. You can probably get an administrator (I'm not one), perhaps the one who did the deletion, to undelete the article, at least so you can retrieve the info and not have to start over from scratch, but at the same time, I think it would be a good idea to work on the article off the wiki, either in a text editor or in user space (let me know if you need help with that), being sure you assert the notability of the band and providing reliable sources. My main concern with the article as it stood was that the article did not say why the band was notable, and thus it looked like an advertisement. I see Whip (folk band) could use some attention too. Good luck and happy editing! Katr67 16:09, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The template is set at 80% width. Adding breaks to make it fit nicely on 'your' screeen may not work on other people's screens. The inherent design means that breaks are automatic, and forced breaks are unnecessary.  slυмgυм [ ←→ ] 21:17, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's the bullets used (•). They have a peculiar effect on inferior web browsers. I'll use "-" in future. Thanks for the clue.  slυмgυм [ ←→ ] 21:33, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Great. Now I need to figure out which ones I've used bullets on, so I can change all of them too!  slυмgυм [ ←→ ] 21:42, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edmonton municipal election, 1960

[edit]

I've reverted your edit to this page for the following reason: as I create articles on the figures who were redlinked in that article, I use the "What links here" tool as an aid in developing the article (it gives me the ability to see at a glance which elections the individual ran in, information that isn't currently centralized anywhere else). For that tool to be of any use, the redlinks in question have to stay. You'll note that only some figures in the article are linked; I have been careful to link only those on whom I plan to create an article. Moreover, I have been very careful to ensure that none of the links are misdirected.

If you disagree profoundly with my action, then revert again and I'll live with your reversion, re-inserting the links after I've created the articles in question. But in the meantime the redlinks seem to me to be doing some good and no harm. Sarcasticidealist 20:11, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:MervynAndyLuke.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:MervynAndyLuke.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ElinorD (talk) 09:38, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of NahooToo, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.celticmusicusa.com/store/products/all/497_nahootoo!/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 22:09, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on And So I Watch You From Afar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mastrchf91 (t/c) 17:58, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, sure. I just tag them if I notice no real notability assertion and no refs. But go ahead and give it a HoldOn, and then ref it. Happy editing! Mastrchf91 (t/c) 18:06, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:K45Spirit.JPG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:K45Spirit.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:02, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Sevenplusone! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 0 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  2. Michael McDowell (actor) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Brian Houston (musician) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Some coverage but doesn't appear to meet WP:MUSICBIO or WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
