Fetească

Dear Serhio, I don't understand why you flipped, what kind of reference do you want for using the indefinite form of the noun, which by the way it is the accepted form in the other Wikipedia articles (Fetească, Fetească Neagră, Fetească Regală). You can also have a look here: Wikipedia:Naming conventions (definite and indefinite articles at beginning of name). What is your source? A website that doesn't use diacritics at all? Either you use diacritics or get rid of them altogether. Let's not get ridiculous and quibble over a breve, shall we? Mentatus (talk) 09:02, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Man, the inarticulate denomination for the grape is "Feteasca Regală" the articulated one is "Feteasca Regala". The specified catalog was used to indicate the origin of the grape, not the name. Generally speaking, we can move the articles to an undiactitical form, that is widely used in the catalogs and English, Moldovan and also Romanian web pages. --serhio talk 10:00, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
"Man" :), it's pretty inarticulate what you're saying, sorry. Have a look here in the DEX. "Fetească" is an adjective (meaning "of Feteşti) which became a noun. The indefinite form of this noun is "Fetească", while the definite form is "Feteasca". Thus, "Feteasca Regală" is the definite form and "Fetească Regală" the indefinite. And btw, in Romanian the adjectives sitting after the noun are never definite (and thus "Feteasca Regala" is *NOT* a correct form). Regarding the usage of diacritics, this is still a proposal, but nevertheless it is adhered to by the majority of the articles using titles in Romanian (e.g. Chişinău, Constanţa, Bălţi and so on). Mentatus (talk) 11:55, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
this is quite concludent. Well.. I think you are right. I'll rename it correctly. --serhio talk 07:16, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Moldovan language

Concerning this edit, the apolitical point of view the the scientific (more precisely the linguistic) one. You reverted a netral fromulation in a political one. I'm going to revert your edit tomorrow if you don't have anything to say about it. --Olahus (talk) 15:44, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Mine formulation is apolitical, cause specifies only the fact that the language is used in Moldova as official one. Your edit is politicized, cause references it to the "Romanian". Mine edits are based on the Moldovan Constitution, but yours only by your personal "scientific opinion". --serhio talk 19:17, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Comment+Question

Wow your really from Moldova, is it nice there?--EZ1234 (talk) 09:34, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Heh, man, is it very exotic for you, Moldova? Yes, I am from Moldova and I consider Chisinau to be one of the best cities in the world, also Moldovan girls the nicest on the planet. The only way to figure out a proper image it is to come here. By chance, there is any problem at this point. You should only have some money for the ticket to Chisinau, there is no Visa regime for the EU, USA and some other developed counties. The life isn't very expensive here, except if you wouldn't buy apartments here :) --serhio talk 22:20, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Sounds nice but I'm still at skool and its quite far away from Australia. You should come visit Australia, its quite alright.--EZ1234 (talk) 11:33, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh, Australia is the country that I respect much and I'll be pleased to visit. But when you'll grow up and be able to travel you can visit Moldova anytime, it seems that is no VISA regime with Australia as well. People from Moldova emigrate to Australia too, even if it is considered to be more difficult than to Canada, for example. --serhio talk 11:56, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
I've seen some nicer cities in Europe, but gotta agree about girls in Moldova, or, at least in Chisinau (haven't been to other cities much). ;-) --Illythr (talk) 00:13, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Hey, Serhio where else have you been?--EZ1234 (talk) 12:16, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Transnistria

Serhio, "with" ("c") and "within" ("внутри", "в пределах"), are two different English words. The formulation "within the internationally recognised borders of Moldova" means that only Moldova's borders are internationally recognized. --Illythr (talk) 11:16, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Well, I understand, but I don't consider we always should evidentiate words borders and internationally concerning Transnistria. You see, in such a way we underline the self existence of borders, and I try to avoid to keep attention on the "borders of Transnistria", even "within the internationally recognized borders of Moldova". If you know what I mean... --serhio talk 15:33, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Uhh, the borders in that sentence are those of Moldova. The ones you can see on any political map issued outside of Transnistria. The existing borders between Transnistria and Moldova are not "internationally recognized", except as a demarcation line or something. That part of the article mentions Moldova's official borders only.--Illythr (talk) 16:38, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I repeat I understand that there is Moldovas official borders. But see my post above. If didn't get the point then let it down. :) --serhio talk 20:33, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Since the "borders of Transnistria" are not mentioned there at all, there is nothing to avoid drawing attention to... --Illythr (talk) 22:59, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
ok, man, peace to your house! :) --serhio talk 11:46, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Do keep up the good work. You're the one to show the rest of us how time on Wikipedia SHOULD be spent. ;-) --Illythr (talk) 15:33, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

User page help

Dear Serhio...I see that you have requested help in getting your user page in order and am willing to help you. My suggestions will not be full of a lot of flashy formatting. In my opinion, the less a user page looks like a Wikipedia page, the harder it is to read and navigate. You can go to my user page to see how an infobox can handle most of the routine information which you can expand upon if you so desire in the body of your user page.

To keep this conversation all in one place, you can respond on your talk page here. However, I ask that you put {{Talkback|Serhio|User page help}} on my talk page to alert me to your response. Either way, I would like to hear back from you.

Have a nice day! - LA @ 02:22, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi Serhio,

i found your map "http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8f/AdministrativeMapOfMoldova.png" of Moldova. Now i want to import and reference it into a mapping tool (oziexplorer). Do you know the projection and the ellipsoid used for this map? Is it based on WGS84 or Krassowskij?

Moldovan wineries

Hi Serhio, I'm writing to you about the 15 (approx) Moldovan winery articles that you created on the English Wiki. Some of us in the Wiki-Wine-Project are currently doing a cleanup and improvement campaign, and we would like to invite you to help us. If you have time and willingness, could you improve the Moldovan winery articles?:

  • Some of them appear to be not notable according to WP:N, and might be deleted if notability cannot be shown. You would have to look for notable information from reliable independent sources
  • I've already looked for information in English in Google, but was unable to find anything. Perhaps you could easily find information and sources in Moldovan. There must be something, especially about the underground caverns at Milesti Mici, Branesti and Cricova.

AfD nomination of Barza Alba (winery) and others

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated articles are Barza Alba (winery), Aur-Vin (winery). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to the relevant discussion pages: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Barza Alba (winery) for Barza Alba (winery), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aur-Vin (winery) for Aur-Vin (winery). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:11, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

The article Meriada (winery) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Tagged for notability since May 2008 with no improvement and no activity on the talk page.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Tomas e (talk) 18:54, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Foxtrot (group) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File copyright problem with File:Glass of wine MD.png

Thank you for uploading File:Glass of wine MD.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 21:57, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

License tagging for File:MoldovanGDPBySector.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:MoldovanGDPBySector.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:05, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:MoldovanGDPBySector.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:MoldovanGDPBySector.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 00:42, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

Notice on sanctions on White Helmets (Syrian Civil War)

Please read this notification carefully, it contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

A community decision has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the Syrian Civil War and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The details of these sanctions are described here. All pages that are broadly related to these topics are subject to a one revert per twenty-four hours restriction, as described here.

General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.
