Simona Halep career statistics

[edit]

I recently reverted your edits to the singles performance timeline of Simona Halep career statistics. I noticed that you had added "Round Robin" to the cell for the 2015 WTA Finals. The standard for tennis performance timelines is to wait until the player's participation in the tournament is complete before updating the timeline. I just wanted to let you know why I did the revert. Thank you for your help in editing Halep's page. —Hermionedidallthework (talk) 15:04, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Simona Halep career statistics, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Since you seem to have ignored or not seen the friendly message by user Hermionedidallthework, or the edit summaries, I'm giving you a formal warning. Please don't update performance timelines until that players' participation has ended. Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 23:59, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of 2016 Hobart International, and it appears to include material copied directly from https://www.newikis.com/en/wiki/2016_Hobart_International.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of French Open 2014, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: 2014 French Open. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 15:23, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, French Open 2014

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, French Open 2014. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – 2014 French Open. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at 2014 French Open – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Wgolf (talk) 18:29, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

March 2016

[edit]

Please do not edit-war over the terminology used to refer to Macedonia, as you did at Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Wikipedia editors have developed a binding consensus guideline on how to refer to the country, outlined at WP:NCMAC. This is based on the policy of using the most common name generally used in English to refer a country, and/or the name that a country chooses to use for itself, no matter if these names are politically acceptable to third parties (see the naming-conflict guideline). The Arbitration Committee has decided that all edits affecting the Macedonia naming issue are subject to a one-revert restriction: no editor is allowed to undo another editor's action more than once within 24 hours. In cases covered by the binding guideline, editors restoring the consensus version are not subject to this restriction.

Proposed deletion of 2013 Simona tennis season

[edit]

The article 2013 Simona tennis season has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Per WP Tennis Guidelines and consensus seasonal player articles are only created for players who have won a singles title at a Grand Slam tournament. Halep does not qualify.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
