Warnings template removal
[edit]Hi Semper Iustus,
I removed a warning template from your talk page added by another user. If you would rather me not do this, just let me know here and I will act according. Thank you, --Malerooster (talk) 18:39, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
- I have no problem with what you did, thank you. I am still new as an editor, but what administrative action can be taken against users like the one who posted false accusations on this page? At this point in time it's not much of a problem but if it happens in the future I want to know what exactly can be done. --Semper Iustus (talk) 18:50, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
- If you feel that you need another editor warned or blocked or require any intervention that requires administrative intervention, you can visit the ANI board. You post your request there, and admins, and others, comment and take action if needed and agreed upon. Always be sure to let the person you are reporting know that you have done so by posting a note on their talk page. Its always best to try to talk to the person first before running to that board, it shows good faith and might even work. In this case, not much would probably happen since the editor could say it was a mistake or accident or what have you. You can always remove any message from you talk page and you can also ask editors not to post on your talk page. I guess they can still post "warnings" here, but if you feel you are being hassled, ect, again you can ask for administrative help at the ANI board. Editors are usually given ALOT of slack and leeway and the assumption of innocence, which is good I guess, before they are blocked, ect. I hope this helps and good luck. --Malerooster (talk) 02:19, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks again for the information. I wasn't intending on reporting the user because it's not that serious of an issue at this point, but it's good to know what can be done if things get really out of hand. Thanks again. --Semper Iustus (talk) 02:25, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
