Request reason:

I created this account in order to report a politician who was editing their own wikipedia page. If you look at my history you can see that I primarily used it to raise awareness and report his out of policy actions. This is my sole account as would be obvious from the ip history. This is not anyone's sock puppet. In fact, you're accusing me of being the sock puppet of the guy I reported! Selfpublishing (talk) 09:25, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your accounts being indistinguishable on technical grounds - meaning they are operated by the same person - was confirmed by CheckUser. You're going to need a better explanation than "I am not a sock" - "Good-hand, bad-hand" sockpuppetry is surprisingly common. - The Bushranger One ping only 06:47, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hey, I am not the owner of this account but I am a journalist looking into this politician's free speech record. Can you give more detail on what a "check user" and how it confirmed that these two accounts are linked? At a glance I assumed it was a good samaritan whistleblowing corruption but if they are indeed linked it'd be of interest for my article. Thank you. 109.125.17.200 (talk) 12:43, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

If you're not the owner of the account, then you have no business requesting unblock and no technical information will be revealed to you. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:07, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am not looking for an unblock or technical information. I just want a broadstrokes explanation of what a "check user" test is and what sort of things it looks at. Can you tell me of the correct channel to request this kind of policy walkthrough from administrators? I am not familiar with how to use this site for internal communication. Thank you. 109.125.18.210 (talk) 16:52, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:CHECKUSER for further information on that tool. No one is going to give you more info regarding checkuser than what is covered in that link. Anonymous access to this page has been revoked for misuse of the unblock template.OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:13, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
