Welcome!
Hello, Sefacci, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

Hi partner
[edit]Hi Sarah. Looks like we're grouped together for the Wiki project. Let me know if you ever have any questions or concerns, and don't hesitate to speak up if I'm not pulling my load. Don Brown (talk) 23:13, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
Areas of Interest
[edit]Hi Sarah. Looking ahead, I see that in unit 5 we're supposed to pick a couple of articles on Pubmed. What sort of areas are you interested in? Don Brown (talk) 15:24, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry for lagging behind a bit. It's been a crazy busy week. Mostly my main area of interest is in proteomics but really I'm just having a blast learning anything new. How about you? Sarah Facci (talk) 02:43, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
- No worries. I go in spurts too. I agree - it's all fascinating. I have a computer science background, so all the "omics" look cool. I'm really interested in the area of personalized medicine, which involves both genomics and proteomics. Don Brown (talk) 19:47, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
Summary of characteristics of target article
[edit]We are targeting a B or GA, starting from a stub. A stub-class article is very basic and is probably closer to a simple definition than an encyclopedia article. To improve the article, general knowledge must be expanded, expert level knowledge should be added, and good citations used. Care should be taken to write in a clear, neutral, professional style. To be accepted as GA, an article must undergo an official review. GA may still be slightly incomplete or require more expert knowledge, and will require additional reviews to pass the next level ratings.
Welcome!
