Request reason:

after obviously not meeting wikipedia guidelines for this page, all i'm trying to do at this point is remove the page all together, and for some reason now that i am trying to take the page down, i get banned from editing. i dont understand.

Decline reason:

See the IP's comments below. You were blocked for promoting your company, not for trying to delete the article. You will be unblocked if you are willing to change your username and refocus your efforts here so as to avoid any conflicts of interest. Hersfold (t/a/c) 21:48, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

At this point, it has survived an Article for Deletion debate, and it would be very difficult to get it deleted. As for your block (not a ban, two different things) it is due to your name, which can be interpreted as a role account, or shared. If you want an unblock, you will need to change your username. 24.99.242.63 (talk) 15:54, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because it has been identified as an account used for promotion of a company or group, with a username that implies that this has been done by that company or group. See Wikipedia:Business' FAQ and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

This kind of activity is considered spamming and is forbidden by Wikipedia policies. In addition, the use of a username like yours violates our username policy.

You may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} on your user talk page or emailing the administrator who blocked you.

Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Usernames that have already been taken are listed here. TravellingCari 02:04, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Seed Herbarium Image Project

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Seed Herbarium Image Project, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
