Information icon Hello, Sebastianbourges. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Leticia Cáceres, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Hello, Sebastianbourges, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as DirectorLC (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 10:13, 14 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sebastianbourges, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community. Melcous (talk) 07:22, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

User Melcous has request me to be blocked me for unfair reasons. He claims I have personal interest in the page I'm editing due to close proximity with the subject. This is a very grey area as I am only volunteering to maintain Leticia Caceres wikipedia page, a page I did not originally started but I decided to maintain to help this talented and public Australian figure be part of the encyclopedia who host pages for similar figures, many of them colleagues of her. I'm new as editor and I and finding extremely difficult to navigate thought the complex rules of wikipedia, however, I have done all changes requested until user Malicous started what is seems a personal cyber bullying agains me. I have added all links and follow the guidelines in the best possible way. I believe it is unfair to block me out of as contributor

This is my justifications to all his claims:

1- Leticia Caceres is a public Australian figure. I added an overwhelming evidence of cites and links that prove who she is. On top, she is has a collection of more than 15 awards that are publicly shown all over the web. Google can prove this. 2- The only link that is added on the page that seems to be agains the rules, it LeticiaCaceres.com, which in many other pages of public figures can be found as well. If this is the problem, it can be easily removed. 3- I have done my bet to comply but the reasons for expressed by user Melcous are not clear, rather simple links to very extensive guidelines with information that I find impossible to relate. I rather prefer the user would take the effort to indicate more carefully or in details where the problem is. After several request from my side, he mention finally that I needed to add links to the Awards list. I was block already when I intended to solve this particular point.

I hope you take my consideration and unblock me so I can continue contributing to this noble project.

Thank you very much.

Decline reason:

You have not addressed your abuse of multiple accounts. Also personal attacks will not get you unblocked. MER-C 10:03, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
