BC304 Battlecruiser

[edit]

Stop changing Battlecruiser to Deep Space Carrier. This subject has already been discussed. The ship is a Battlecruiser and has been called as such in dialogue by military personel. Alyeska 16:34, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just because you haven't taken part in the discussion doesn't mean it hasn't happened. BTW, Colonel Everret is the one who called the Daedalus a Battlecruiser. And even if McKay called it one, so what? McKay is known to be very technical and was very knowledgeable on the construction of the Daedalus. He knew the support the Asgard were providing. Both sources are valid. All you have is information from the Oddessy which has not been seen on the Daedalus. For all you know DSC is merely what SGC is calling the Oddessey because of the missions they have used her on. That doesn't make her a DSC type. Alyeska 19:03, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Daedalus discussion page. And as to my references on the issue. Do you ever remember a website called the Stargate Technology Center? Detailed the technology in the Stargate universe, had articles on the gate, the ships, the technology, etc? I co-ran that website. I have been involved with Stargate for many years and know a great deal about the technology behind it. Alyeska 19:33, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted your comment in the Technology page. Its unnecessary there. Add it to the main article if you wish. Alyeska 03:06, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Technology page is not the place to put every nitty gritty detail about everything. Its just a page listing most (but not all) technologies with a brief description. I already said that your welcome to post comments about Deep Space Carrier in the main page itself. Your refusal to actualy do this and only repeated postings in the Technology page make me wonder just what your motives are. Furthermore, leave POV commentary out of anything you post. Saying "the designation now is questioned" is a POV statement because it represents your opinion but not everyone elses. Just make a comment on the Daedalus page that the Oddessy has been listed as a DSC. That is factual and without opinion. Alyeska 20:05, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The move attempt failed. You only have an issue with the Oddessy. What funny is the Daedalus, the lead class of the ship was called a BC. Only the Oddessy has the DSC title, and you can't prove DSC is for the whole series of ships since DSC never got listed on the Korelov or the Daedalus. Furthermore, you continue to post your arguments in the wrong area. Alyeska 21:55, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
