Stochastic stuff
[edit]Mr. Seanmcox, I wrote a reply to your ideas about the stochastic examples I wrote. I can't say I'm an expert in the field, but I think my examples were geared (as was the cited source) more towards non-mathematical stochastic processes, which got me to thinking about what you said: "Worse, one might come away thinking a stochastic process is defined as one in which one does not obtain optimal benefit." And so I'm thinking that that idea might not be correct for non-hard-science stochastic processes (stochastic 'crafts' such as medicine, war, rhetoric) but it would be correct for the scientific ones (stochastic processes such as modeling, probability, etc). As the discussion page is talking about turning this article in to a disambiguation page, perhaps we can clairify the two types of stochastic theories (stochastic process and stochastic craft)?
