Notes
[edit]Hi, can you underline or mark the material that you added to your draft? Also, make sure that any content you add is written in a neutral and encyclopedic tone akin to what is already in the live article, that your draft wouldn't be removing content that should be in the article, and that everything is properly sourced. Let me know on your talk page once you've underlined your contributions. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:28, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
- Here are my notes:
- The content about Larry Nassar shouldn't be in the section about Biles's early life and education, as the section is only meant to cover information that deals with her life prior to her career becoming big and her education throughout the years. Information about this would be added to the personal life section.
- One of the sentences comes across like a personal statement (by yourself) as opposed to summarizing the source material. The phrase "not only honored the survivors of the scandal, but made a powerful statement of unification of standing together" needs to be tweaked so that it attributes this claim more clearly to Biles. I've tweaked it in the live article (someone else also did some major shuffling and reorganization of content) to read "At the 2018 U.S. National Championships Biles designed and wore a teal leotard that she stated was meant to honor the survivors of the scandal and make a statement of unification."
- Make sure that you only refer to Biles using her last name, as per Wikipedia's style guidelines.
- Some of the content is unsourced - all claims must be backed up with reliable sources. I'm not sure if this was because the content may not have copied over or not, but always be careful of this.
- Other than that, my notes would be to make sure that the content is not redundant to material that's already in the article, as it can be easy to do this by accident with large articles like this. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:27, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
