Greetings, you've added some very specific info to Kapisa Province, which clearly isn't just something off the top of your head. Can you provide a footnote as to where this info comes from? Failing that, detailed info of unknown origin is a little sketchy, so it'll get deleted in a day or so if you can't provide a footnote. Inaccurate Nimruz Province changes, and use Edit Summary to explain edits

Greetings, the the Saffarid Dynasty was Persian, not "Afghan" - there was no "Afghanistan" state at that time, and the Saffarids were not Pashtun, to the term is very anachronistic. So I have removed your addition (which was also mis-capitalised "afghan") from that article.

Further, you need to use Edit Summary each time you save the page, so we can understand what changes you're making and why. Otherwise, it may often be assumed that your edits are tampering or vandalism, so make sure you explain each time you save. MatthewVanitas (talk) 17:44, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Unfortunately, I've had to remove your recent additions to the Australia article, as it seems you had copied them across from another article online. While you did acknowledge that in the reference, Wikipedia can't accept material that is copyrighted or overly close to copyrighted text. To explain, per your question on my talk page, all material needs to be in your own words, or it needs to come from a source which fits our licensing requirements. The latter is fairly rare, and it is always assumed that material is copyrighted unless we have know otherwise, and thus as a rule it is worth assuming that everything needs to be either rewritten in your own words, or, in a few cases, presented as a directly quote. What you've been doing is copying parts of articles and pasting them together with the occasional small change in wording - what you need to do is rewrite the material in your own words, so that the same ideas are there, but the way they are presented is very different.
