Hi. I see you've been using a script to change spellings across a number of articles to Americanized versions. Be aware that some of those may be changed after the fact--the UK spelling of "monologue", for instance, has gained a lot of traction in American English. However, I have partially undone this edit [1], because this is not really a case of US vs. UK spelling. Rather, "synagogue" is a preferred spelling and "synagog" is a less common version. OK, thanks - my apologies. Is there a process for getting that particular element of the script fixed? I.e., should we report this mistaken spelling change to whomever maintains the script, so they may change that? Señor Spock (talk)
I'd follow up with the editor who maintains the script. I don't generally use them, so I don't pretend to be an expert on them, but I'm assuming there must be some exception word list that "synagogue" could be added to. Or, conversely, that it could be removed from some sort of target list. Good luck! Grandpallama (talk) 14:39, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ohconfucius: Hope you don't mind my pinging you here, so as to keep this discussion in one place. Is this spelling issue something you'd be willing to change, per the above conversation? Señor Spock (talk) 16:45, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
