GOCE drive invitation
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors
The latest GOCE backlog elimination drive is under way! It began on 1 July and so far 18 people have signed up to help us reduce the number of articles in need of copyediting. This drive will give a 50% bonus for articles edited from the GOCE requests page. Although we have cleared the backlog of 2009 articles there are still 3,935 articles needing copyediting and any help, no matter how small, would be appreciated. We are appealing to all GOCE members, and any other editors who wish to participate, to come and help us reduce the number of articles needing copyediting, as well as the backlog of requests. If you have not signed up yet, why not take a look at the current signatories and help us by adding your name and copyediting a few articles. Barnstars will be given to anyone who edits more than 4,000 words, with special awards for the top 5 in the categories: "Number of articles", "Number of words", and "Number of articles of over 5,000 words". |

Please
If you want my help with improving the article, I can help you, it is close, you just need to address the issues others have raised. If you are unhappy with the Featured Director decision, complain to her, not to me (I don't think she should've closed it now, but then, you were not making much progress on most issues, so...). I recommend you consider Good Article next. I'll see if I have time to start the sections I mentioned should be added. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 15:42, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
- If I were in your shoes, and I didn't think someone was working in a good-faith way to fix what really needed fixing, I would oppose the FAC. Otherwise, I would take my concerns to the talk page. I don't have any complaints about how Sandy handled the process -- why should she let this thing keep dragging on? I'm not inclined to go to GAN right now, because there's no need. And as I've said before, I don't really care to spend more of my time bowing to your minute perfectionistic demands. If it's not an FA, so be it. That's on you, not me.
- Have a nice day. Scartol • Tok 15:51, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
- Read up on what FA is. You nominated the article, you failed to address the issues, and now you are complaining to others who tried to help you. Please rethink your attitude, and please don't notify me on my talk page unless your response is constructive. I have articles to improve. including EH. PS. I still respect your work, and I am saddened that you cannot realize that even your work, no matter how good it is, is not perfect, and can be improved upon. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 16:05, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Some stroopwafels for you!
I hope we can work together to bring EW to FA status. It may be taking longer than what you intended, but the end article is going to be better for it :) Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 04:52, 12 July 2011 (UTC) |
- Thank you for the stroopwafels. Scartol • Tok 13:20, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
A kitteh for you!
That Martin Luther King quote will now be my new political belief. Here is a kitteh.

Some baklava for you!
Yours was the first tutorial that taught me how to make templates (and I've been searching for a while). Just wanted to say "Thank you for the baby steps!" :) Yadkamiw (talk) 01:01, 21 July 2011 (UTC) |
- Wow, so many lovely gifts! Thank you for the baklava, and I'm very glad to know the tutorial was useful. Cheers! Scartol • Tok 11:31, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
